MMORPG pvp is pretty bad. If you really wanna PVP, go play a fighting game.

People haven't even hit the maximum level or tapped into the "end game" yet. There's still a lot of time for evaluation just like any other MMORPG.

Most of the reviews for the game are just initial impressions and stuff. Surely you can't get much out of World of Warcraft through just the trial account in it's current state. You'd probably rate it down too.

no unofficial thread cuz officially it sucks...i have played quite extensively both beta and live...the game tries to be to involved. the armory system is really well done i just think the game is too much of a hassle sometimes. it's meant to be a slow solo friendly game but it really is just slow, not solo friendly (all the time). in order to switch equips, which is how you change your "class", you need to switch from active to passive mode, go to the right side of the window, click menu, inventory and this process, if you've already started a battle with a monster, takes too long. you need to be in active mode to fight and passive mode to change equips. the game is purely PVE with no signs of even a dueling system for PvP. looks pretty with no follow-up

Gameplay: 5 - Armory system is fantastic. too much of the time it's long and dragged out more than it should be. Fine tuning required.
Graphics: 9 - looks great and realistic, draw distance is far and unnecessary.
Sound: 8 - typical nothing special but still nice
Price: 9 - $9.99 per month plus $3 per character. it's a good price, just a shame the game isn't up to par

overall, i'd give it a 5.5/6. with some fine tuning and some adjustments it could be really good. the requirements are a bit high but to be honest the maximum settings don't really add much more. the game runs smooth and at times the game can be somewhat confusing. really needs to add some PvP or even a basic dueling system. PvE just doesn't cut it anymore. disappointing for all the hype.

I haven't played it yet actually. Too busy to play games to be honest. lol

I will likely still get WoW: Cataclysm and play casually here and there, but I probably won't get it on launch cuz I'm not really dying to play it either.

But like I said, you can't really gauge an MMO that quickly off the bat without going through it. FFXIV is getting a lot of negative press but w/e. Too old to play MMOs seriously anymore.
