The time has come again for everyone to share their opinion :stickpoke: The part that I found weird was when Leila sacriface herself; couldn't the half spirit go back into the pillow and let Leila get back to her body, then when she wake up, tell where Jessica is? Ending could have been better I suppose. what's your thoughts?
They killed the series. It was going pretty well until the ending, everything seemed rushed. For ex; when jessica got caught by the eunuch and the princess while the general was with her. I mean you're gonna let a pregnant woman walk around alone like that? c'mon, tvb is tvb. The other stupid part was when the pillow god became a tree and she gave birth to a baby in a well and you didn't see any blood at all.
TVB love procrasinating, why don't the eunuch just throw his 'vegetables' in the flames, he sure have patients (waiting to get caught) >.<
And another thing; while Jessica Hsuen was at the bottom of that dry well for, like... "MONTHS" where did she shit and piss? There should have been enough fecal matter accumulated for her to climb on top of and get out, LOL... Their problem at that immediate juncture was that Jessica was about to die, and needed the Pillow Spirit's "last gasp" just to survive that moment; there was no time for Leila wake up and then come back to find her. Further, Leila needed to die as a matter of maintaining marital fidelity. While yes, we all know that her marriage to Bobby was a sham, if she ever went and actually divorced Bobby and slept with Bot Biuy Gee, a lot of people would have complained that she became a slut. In dying, she became a spirit, but as a spirit, one that could never then have relations with a human. Thus, she and Bot Biuy Gee can still love each other, but only in his dreams. Sheer fantasy, but it's better than having her become a nun, LOL...
I dont think it's just "TVB". These things happens all the time in other dramas also....Things just doesnt make sense and things r just all over the place. But again, filming is money and time. They wouldnt just place these non-important scenes on tape; they would rather put important scenes on tape and follow on with the storyline.
i think the ending was ok. everyone got what they wanted. also, i think tvb made a good choice of not letting Leila go back to her body. cause if she did, she would'nt be able to marry joel. just because he came from a rich family where they wouldnt accept a woman that once married. now that she is dead and became the god of pillow, they can see each other anytime they want.
ending was pretty bad ! i thought it was a bad idea to have Jessica trapped in the well for "months" ！
LOL. Just wanted to add, when Leila 'died' and became a spirit, I didn't see no sympathy (not strong anyway), instead they were happy that she 'died' but became a spirit, so strange. Even the new owner of the pillow was happy; would it not be better to have the real thing than a dream? Just my thoughts. -whistle
the main character is so useless at all... all the cases rely on the pillow of god too much.. so lousy....
Gives the idea of a wet dream more meaning, eh? :laugh: But seriously, as Leila had died while she was Bobby's sixth wife, Bobby would have still been responsible for bringing her offerings and such (as he would have done for his dead father, third and fourth wives and kids). I wonder how people would think if Bobby's underling had nightly "satisfaction" from Bobby's wife? Further, at the end, notice that the first and second wives were pregnant too. Bobby is obviously a very horny bastard, considering that the first two aren't exactly what I would call, ahem... hot numbers. Given this new revelation, are we then to believe that Bobby would have just let Leila off as a pretend only wife? IMHO, he would have been white on rice; ie. he would have been all over that shit, I know I would have, LOL...
Yes, I found that absolutely disgusting (especially the 1st wife). Even if there is gonna be a series III, it wouldn't be too interesting as all of them are breeding machines -rolleyes Bobby should be responsible even if he does not like Leila. Not that it matters but back in those times, if you have seen their body, they would have not face to marry others, so Bobby shouldn't 'fake' the marriage thing. The special episode was rather awkward. haha
The special was rather illuminating. And the best looking one there was YoYo Chen (of topless cell phone video fame); I don't know if it was makeup or wardrobe, but she was even better looking than Leila, IMHO...
YoYo seems to be getting more scenes these days (Beauty Knows no Pain, and this one). PJs special. Leila bumble bee PJ is cute, whilst YoYo is eye catchy lol, it even says here "Pillow Case 2" peaks at 39 points, Cast holds pajamas party - PA - Entertainment Destination .
the ending could've done better...but as usual tvb drama endings are not done well. They should plan ahead on how to end in several episodes and not try to wrap everything up in 1-2. I agree that it's ridiculous to survive and deliver a baby in a well by a wilted tree that miraculously came alive. But overall, the series was light hearted and acceptable.
