all my games r copy, paste n play (non-installed). the resolution is very weird. it tends to b black on both left n right sides. i hv fix starcraft II n counterstrike but can't solve the resolution problem in PES 2009 n warcraft III. PES 2009 graphic is totally bad after i started use Windows 7 now. using Intel GMA in a widescreen laptop. Try a lot of ways (googling n read forums n folo forum's advice but useless). Help me!!!
if you're expecting to game at high resolutions on an Intel GMA, don't even try. you're going to cause a nuclear explosion with your laptop.
there is a reason why you don't copy and paste and run the game from there... the registry talks with your hardware but u are not using the normal way....
well copy and paste does actually work u know. but i think ur graphics card isn't that great. intel gma is going to struggle with pes 2009. ur going to have to go to settings for pes 2009 and set the graphics to the lowest level i presume to play it. pes 2009 has a seperate config application or should do if u installed it onto ur laptop. not sure about warcraft 3 though. i presume graphics settings need to be lowered as well and with the resolution lowered it's not surprising to get black bars on both sides cos ur laptop is widescreen and has a greater resolution so it doesn't use up the whole monitor.
Would it have been that hard to install the games like everyone else...? Unless the hardware is identical I don't see how that would work.
yea, i think its the graphics card that cant project the images, try copy and paste on another comp, cud be that too
i never said it fixed the registry keys. i just said that if u copy and paste a game from one comp to another it will run but yea as noasian said sometimes with problems with the video settings and such.
It's not my intent to sound rude, but I think this warrants it a little bit. Is it that hard to install a game? You either have to put the CD in or mount the ISO. OR you redownload the game. What kind of stupid logic led you to believe copy and pasting would be the equivalent of a fresh install?
if u install games n not copy paste play(CPP), u can easily change the registry value in regedit to change the resolution. i did tis only after installing windows 7. windows vista can run CPP PES 2009 n warcraft III in fullscreen without borders with my lousy Intel GMA. actually i got those games from my friends n they don't hv the installer dy so i just CPP. redownloading games in my area would take decades to finish. moreover, due to economy crisis,my internet package is the lowest one...
u can change the wc3 resolution in the registry under local user/ software/ blizzard entertainment/ wc3/ video or something like that. Just type in the resolution you want, i;ve always copied my wc3 since my TFT disk broke and it works fine on all my computers.
at last, got ppl understand my problem. btw,i can't find wc3/video cos mayb the game is not installed in my laptop so can't appear in regedit. any other solution?
