Went to the airport yesterday evening to pick up my mother after she had spent a month in HK. When we got back to my place, we had some tea and sat talking as she gave me the latest familial updates on relatives and HK in general. Then she said, "Oh, BTW, I got you a little something..." and pulls from her luggage, a brand new Fuji Finepix Real 3D W3 Camera. Needless to say, I was stunned. Then she said, "Oh... I got another for your brother too, so don't mix up the parts and accessories..." Like... wow... This is why I love my mom; no matter what, we're always her children and she's always thinking of us. Together, the two cameras probably set her back nearly $1000 USD. -shock BTW, my mother is near 80 and as far as I'm concerned, eligible for sainthood.
Aww Ralphy is getting excited over his gadgets! But needless to say your mum is awesome! But then my mum always thinks of me and my sister when she goes to Hong Kong. She always come back with lots of goodies for the both of us and we haven't even asked for it, especially we are hardly at home due to university. Aww mums are awesome like that!! ^__^
Actually, all my siblings are a whole lot smarter than me. I was sorta the ne'er do well dummy of the family. -noclue
Yup .. in our parents' eyes .. no matter how old we are .. they always treat us like a child .. always have us in their mind. But 80s and still going to HK by herself .. wow .. must be very healthy and alert.
What's really neat about it is that she and all of her 5 siblings are all still spry enough to do so. Last year, they all went to China and this year to Taiwan. Two years ago, they were in Indonesia. I guess once they got older they decided that, you can't take it with you, so they hit upon doing this Bucket Club thing. God bless 'em, they deserve it... -^_^
Nice .. at least her siblings are together and all .. traveling and shopping ... my parents can't travel on their own .. I won't let them since they have CI and health issues. So I always try to take them on long vacation twice a year .. Asia, Australia, Canada, and the US .. just not Europe .. don't get to shop though .. just out visit places and EAT, EAT, and EAT .. lol
First off aside from the fact that she's your mom, but an 80yr old woman who knows to get a 3d camera!?!? how coo is that? I mean really..?
Loving mom is really divine in the world. This relation is heavenly made and noting is more precious then this. I love my mom very much and I am really proud of her that she is my mom. She cares me much and she is really responsible, loving and true and broad heart. She is God on earth.
