Hey .. I am wondering what is the best Canon digital cam power shot now? All these models with relatively same megapixel make it hard to choose and the price difference too .. not looking to spend more than $200 for this present. Suggestions or tips?? Thx!

Okay .. I checked out the two camera above .. 1. Canon SD1400 = $149 2. Canon SX130IS = $179 but I found this 3. Canon SD780IS = $199 I understand there are slight differences between these cameras; however, I don't know enough to pick the one that's best for everyday use - pics, recording HDTV, comp. w/ SDHC class 10 card, etc .. They are all within the $200 range so no prob there. Price wise, it doesn't much about the quality and everyday usage. In additions, I wanna get a tripod (reach the floor one) + remote control for it .. any suggestion there?? Thx again!
I dunno but it's more expensive .. any particular reasons?? Sometimes, new items aren't necessary made of quality materials or they're full of probs comparing to older models. I really dunno so I asked ..
Probably the site you're looking at. Refurbished from adorama was $130 a few months ago. New was $149-$169. I actually considered getting the SD780, but after doing research, SD1400 was the replacement for that series basically.
I read several reviews that Canon used cheaper len now for their PS camera. I tried the SD1300 before and I too noticed the drop in quality of sharpness for pic but I thought it was my own fault at the time. Now .. reading the reviews for SD1400, I guess it's the len indeed. Is Nikon Coolpix really better than Canon PS now??
Sony P/S will give u better white balance than Canon; Nikon I didn't quite like the P100 or whatever the model was, colors aren't that great SX130 has like 12x optical zoom where as none are on the same page on the other SD's
Haven't try Sony before but I saw a lot of ppl return them after the holidays so I gathered they aren't as good; the same with Olympus. What about Canon SD940? It's only $120. Right now, SD1400 = $149 - 179 & SX130 = $179-199
