    HI!

i recently downloaded real player alternative for my laptop but i am having a bit of issues. Media player classic says i am missing the codec. I have the cccp codec currently. I tried reinstalling MPC and real player alternative but it will still not work. On my desktop everything works fine. I cannot upload a picture of what it says. it says that it missing some codec or filters.

    Thanks

alternatively you could download the Klite codec pack.

K-Lite Codec Pack contains Real Alternative, which is what DTMLY is having problems with.

    Try reinstalling in this order:

    1. Uninstall MPC, the version you have.
    2. Install latest CCCP code pack from www.cccp-project.net. This has MPC HomeCinema.
    3. Install Real Media Alternative Lite version and NOT the full version. The lite version does not have MPC. The reason for this clear. It does not install a version of MPC that is different and overrides the MPC from CCCP.

This works every time for me without failure. Much better than VLC and KM Player.

To play rmvb files, the best is Media Player Classic Homecinema and Real Alternative Lite. Simple with no annoying popups and advertisements.

Been using real player alternative on my laptop but i did not encounter issues with playing rmvb file. Maybe the file you are playing is not really rmvb? Just a thought.
