Do you think this site is informative? I thought so once upon a time but things are getting out of hands. It's putting people and countries in danger .. not so much embarrassment.

wikileaks or not, people will be putting info out, but without such a notorious platform, ignorant people will find it easier to ignore whats put out till their masters on TV give them permission to accept it.

I am not how true everything on the site is .. who know .. they might add bit here and there .. no one knows except those mentioned/involved.

I say .. go get the founder .. another Osama Bin Liden .. lol .. trying to create chaos and terrorize the countries during such difficult time .. even the most useful info can have little usage by average citizens.

Somebody should wikileak the private life of Julian Assange. After all, we have a right to know just who this guy really is. What his motivations are, who influences him, and why he is doing what he does. After all, this is the transparency that he talks about, right? But of course, he walked out on those that asked him questions about his private life. So... what's he hiding? We have a right to know.

But seriously, knowledge and information (what was once known as intelligence gathering) can be used as weapons. What Assange is doing is dangerous, and can have deadly consequences that even he chooses not to admit. What we need is a wikileaks of wikileaks; how were decisions arrived upon; why certain info was released and why not others; who sets the timetable and why. Even in their "neutrality" stance, there is no real information neutrality. Like a drop in the ocean, something will be displaced to accommodate that one extra drop. Info being released like this will apply pressure and ultimately have causal effects.

No one cares about the founder's motivation or background. Like I said, he's another Osama Bin Laden; trying to terrorize countries and people. Knowledge is power only if it's put into good use. This guy's aim is to terrorize these governments and the people with the internet. Frankly, I don't even want him prosecuted anymore but KILLED. What's he doing is no different from Osama Bin Laden; putting people and places in jeopardy.

I remember reading something online about info that may bring down a US bank .. I was like WTF .. regardless of its truth, imagine the chaos and panic it has on the economy during such fragile time .. people will be out of job and shit .. who will bring things to order .. definitely not this wimp who put up these info. It also give terrorists who wanna harm our country an upper hand with the info.

People who actually think this is fun or great are actually STUPID mother fucka .. hate to call ppl name and shit but this time is differnet.

Really. Osama and fucking Assange being compared here.
With that thought and logic in hand, does that really make any sense?
I believe Osama didn't put places and people in jeopardy-they were simply killed.
Though his methods are *unorthodox, I doubt the two can be compared.
Some of your thoughts are pretty ridiculous.

*He's releasing the information unfiltered and in its raw content. (One hopes)
News agencies eg-NY Times and the UK's Guardian have the same info-but are putting it under scrutiny before releasing anything.

This leak is one peculiar case/discussion topic.

I think Assange is doing human kind a great service, even though I haven't visited wikileak at all. The highlights of the leaks he published being covered on the regular news is good enough for me. His service to human kind keeps governments and those elite groups on their toes rather than thinking the public are ignorants.

However, I'm afraid his service is limited; with so many countries looking for him on numerous charges ... be it bogus or not. I think the rape charges are bogus. It's a way for the government to legally prosecute him and silence him.

first, you say no one cares about the founders motivation.. in future dont speak on my behalf, your the only one crying here sir.

If you got a problem then work on bringing down the internet and silencing the people.. maybe then you can join the ranks of the most evil dictators the world has faced. your in no position to compare the dude to larden, one dude wants to release info and you want to suppress it because it may hurt the minds of you and others of your ilk..otherwise known as the sheeple people.

IMO your the monstrosity in this scenario, hate to call ppl name but this time is differnet.

until you bring one shred of evidence to the table instead of crying like a governments-pet you need to SYM (SYM is the strongest word i can come up with as i dont do profanity)

no offence dude, you gave your view.. now you have my view.

If you think about the issue this way, the Government always have something to hide and their intention may say "not to panic the public" but some people may want to know what will happen in advance to get away from the situation etc. May cause a havoc but I would say Julian Assange is just one of the many people who used to be in top secret jobs in the Government.

I haven't been on the site and my bf couldn't get on it anymore. I wouldn't have minded reading the hidden shit that has been hidden from us.

I won't say Assange is like the second Bin Larden. I don't think these reports and news are there to terrorise the public. It's there to uncover the Governments plans and actions that could cause the general public lives in danger. It's just like the UFO arguments, many are skeptical about them but some people believes that the Government has been hiding this away from the public and has been doing reversed engineering on the objects.

But then I do feel sorry for Assange for being hunted down for this. What about the others that have leaked Government's top secret? Don't see them being on the news and being hunted down like he has been. But then its just to show that the hunting down and the accusations that Assange is getting, the Government is definitely trying to hide stuff from us and trying to find someone to blame and saying its all a hoax
