What is your main use of the computer. for video editing you better have a fast cpu. Like a AMD X6 or Intel i7. Offcouse intel is faster. If you planning to use your pc for gaming, than a quad-core AMD X4 955 is enough. It's better to have a faster GPU than a CPU
I thought cpu war between amd vs intel already dead... lol. Does it matter if Intel's fastest cpu beat Amd by some seconds, but you or me not going to afford it. Why bother man. I'm agree GPU is most important than CPU..
If you got money to spend go for Intel, you can get way more performance out for a price without having to overclock yourself. If you want best price for performance AMD the better bet.
well this depends on the model that u get. if compared on the same ghz processor then intel will win. the core i7 has more cache and is just a lot faster and amd tends to get hotter compared to intel. however, amd is often cheaper so it depends on ur needs which processor to get. also, it's not just all processor. graphics card plays an important role as well as the rest of ur computer or laptop set up.
That's silly. You can't match up processors of the same clock speed. You needa compare processors of the same architecture generation. IE: Compare Intel's Sandy Bridge with AMDs Bulldozer. Otherwise, you can easily say "Well, this Pentium 4 is 2.8ghz and this Core i7 920 is only 2.4".
Currently, Intel is the way to go with my nice iCore 7. But for gamer, AMD latest phenom would be suggested. =)
Death to AMD maybe, hope not but doesn't look to good.
