He's probably not looking at an i7. I think his budget for a processor is $110. Confusing way of posting it.
nope, i have my sources, and legit, not stolen products or anything i already have those parts in my hands i have had been in building computers biz for the past 6 yrs and just recently stopped so not up to date with what i should know already
sigh.. i wish i had a hookup to get me a 900 dollar processor for 110 dollars... the 240 won't be good enough for any modern games. If you're going to be running such a high end processor you should really look into a better GPU... but only if there is any intention of gaming at all, otherwise don't bother wasting the money. I might suggest an ATi 6950 for $299 if your case can hold a 10.8 inch graphics card. The 6950 can be unlocked by flashing the firmware to have the same specs as the 6970, which means you get an extra $50 value out of the card. If you can get an i7-970 that cheap i'm assuming you can get a better deal on a graphics card than most people too...
I hope you get struck by lightning. I'm just kidding, of course... On a serious note though, you might want to get your hook ups on the motherboard as well. Even though it's been over a year since the 1366 socket has been out on the market, the X58 boards are still pricey.
i think i can, i have the thermaltake armor case, which is an EATX $200 case that was meant to be reused for the course of ATX existence...used it for 3 yrs already
You might have a bit of trouble getting the card to mount with the screw-less PCI thing on the TT Armor. There are 2 screws that hold it on. Take it off and you'll be good to go.
to be frank, i don't use the tool-less shitz, i remove all the tool-less stuff and using screws back...i bought the case for expandability and room =)
i7-970 for $110? wow. if she is going to be using photoshop i would suggest a better video card... especially if she is a heavy user of PS. flash and website design is rather minimal... unless its for more high end website designing.... that is where the photoshop plays a role...
The i7 970 was on RFD for around that price. The thread was talking about some Intel training website. By doing the training, for employees and a list of companies and their companies, they could collect points. If they collected a certain amount they were named platinum w/e or something of that sort. By doing that, they were allowed to buy ONE i7 970 for a about $110 or bundle it with a X58 MB. Some companies, including walmart, were on it as well. Where do you work again Noasian?
i don't work in retail and will NEVER work in those shitty places... those places require you to beg people to buy from you LOL
