  2. Sigh.. looks like imma have to go shopping for a new pair of headphones for travelling purposes... looking for a small-mid sized headphones. Any suggestions? Not too overly priced either... since Canadian winters are going to destroy it

Amazon.com: Sony MDR-V6 Monitor Series Headphones with CCAW Voice Coil: Electronics@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/415BVED4YNL.@@AMEPARAM@@415BVED4YNL

I'd suggest these, but they are still a little expensive if you are planning on breaking them...

tbh though I don't think temperature does too much to headphones... as long as you're not running them super loud after letting them sit outside in -40 weather on a consistent basis.

^ these are one level cheaper

I might also suggest these... if you can find them locally:

I have a couple of sets.

AKG K81 (Uncomfortable for long term wear, sound is good. Good bass. But sound leaks.) $50 to $70
    [IMG]

Bose OE (Comfortable, sound is ok, but it leaks) $140 to $170
    [IMG]

Bose IE (Ok for beating around, better then regular iPod headphones, a bit of leakage) $100 to $120
    [IMG]

Shure 115 (Sound is absolutely sharp. Not very much bass. Good noise isolation) $100 to $120
    [IMG]

I think I'm going to get a set of Shure 535 next since I can get them half off. Around $500 but I can get them for around $250 new.

I want to get a new set of cans too, but haven't decided yet. I've heard good things of the AKG 702s. $250 to $270

@ Dan - UV Sterlilizers are very cool. I thought about getting one, but for the type of planted tank I have I'm not sure if its a good idea... it might kill too many nutrients and might cause a die-off. I wish my water was that clear though :p How much did yours cost roughly?

@ Mr. Cooper - The 702's are very cool headphones... I'm hoping I don't regret settling on the senn 595's over them.

    @ Crystal84 - Very cool system, I like the NZXT case :)

.... do you know that NVIDIA just released their 560Ti video cards a few days ago?

    http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127565&cm_re=560Ti-_-14-127-565-_-Product

    ;)

Good choice on the ram though! For my system atleast, it didn't post at 1600 mhz, make sure its running to spec in your BIOS.

Also, once your system is all up and running you should post some benchmarks. I'll be putting up some PC mark benches for mine tomorrow if I can find some time. It would be nice to compare against a new i5 versus my Phenom II X6

    ouch :(

I think having an SSD probably made a huge difference in the scores.

The new i5's are definitely impressive too though.

got them awhile back because of the lights i have that builds up algae so fast.....like under a bill? don't quite remember
i don't think you'd need one but i think you should fix up the floating plants :laugh2: cause it's blocking the light to your other plants hahah

good point! lol not the best place to put my discus since they're so sensitive and the barbs are so speedy
had them for a while and they're living peacefully so far
