Fearless' Unigine Heaven 2.5 Competition! I don't know how many people would be willing to participate in this, but I figured this would be a fun way to see who has the fastest computer on PA. The program itself is relatively small, and it's a cool benchmark to watch. Everyone participating should run the following settings in Heaven 2.5: Direct X 10 (I would normally do this at DX11, but I know a lot of people don't have DX11 cards) Shaders: high Textures: high Filter: tri-linear Anisotropy: 4x Anti-Aliasing: 8x Resolution: 1680x1050 ambient occlusion, refraction, shadows all on The prize.... He's testing with DX10 lol. I'll try my rig when I get home. I'm gonna be honest though, I don't think my HD 5770 fairs that well against the newer generation of cards, despite it still supporting DX11.
I'm pretty sure there has to be someone on PA with an SLI or crossfire setup... whoever that is will probably have the top score.
lol plus I overclocked the shit out of it: Still, an SLI setup using GTX460's or Radeon 4870's or better will destroy my score for sure...
I hear a bunch of excuses yet no one has tried it yet? I'm currently running at stock clocks so I'll do a stock run first then try a 4ghz run when I'm bored.
I tried.. but my computer failed on it.. GTX 460 couldn't keep up.. only gave me like 6-7 fps on stock settings.
I guess if that benchmark requires a lot of processing power then yea.. my AMD Phenom 9750 x4 is pretty outdated..
It's definitely the processor. A GTX460 on these settings with an i5 or i7 should be getting around 25-30 fps.
