These people are what we call date setters. This is what the bible says. Matthew 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. Mark 13:32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. But this guy somehow extracted that he can know the day and hour. Its not even a matter of interpritation as it is clear as day, this guy is just hardheaded. Also as for the part where he said one day for God is as 1000 years.. he forgot the mention the other part of the verse which says a 1000 years as one day which means timelessness. 2 Peter 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. Anyway, one more day, he did this and was wrong in 1994, hopefully he will just stop after this one. i just feel sorry for the people who listen to him over clear scripture and ended up selling their houses, quitting jobs, running up debts like they did in 1994.
both those dates are not true The first one is made up by a guy The other is just hollywood, NOWHERE does the mayan calendar say the world will end, but most people are fed the hollywood version.. and most people cant be bothered to check for themselves so they run with it.
Yeah but most of us realize the bible's fiction. There isn't going to be any looting and chaos. Going to be at Comic Con this weekend.
I remember fearless sent me an article about the end of the world on 21st May lol I don't even believe any of these "end of the world" through Christianity prophecies as I genuinely don't believe Christianity is a fake compared to Hinduism, Buddhism etc... If this was true anyways, I will be partying hardcore anyways considering my degree finishes on 20th May
^ Trust me, this may 21st has nothing to do with biblical prophecy, for the things to happen as this guy said, you must skip 90% of what the bible says will actual happen, he has even skipped the great tribulation, one world government and millennial period. ----- ------ I think that's the damage this stuff does, from a Christian perspective, he could get people to believe based on the end of the world happening on Saturday.. when it doesn't happen (which it wont) then the same people may fall away and some of the existing Christians who are naive enough to listen to this guy instead of reading their bible may fall away too. Also the non-believers tend to love this stuff, a chance to seemingly discredit the bible etc, but at best they can discredit the man who made this stuff up, i just hope people stop listening to him if he decides to do it again.
I was gonna say no man will know the day of the rapture only god but you said that already xD ... personally i just think there is no point in arguing what people should or shouldn't believe or use this to disregard the bible etc ... but imo .... shit happens xD
If the world ends before SSFIV: AE comes to PC or Tekken Tag 2 comes out, someone's gonna have a lot of trouble
lol @ this. I cant wait brothers and sisters, i cant wait. Now again, where's CM punk and his straight-edge society? Maybe he can save us.....
I need to ask... Why is it that some who follow Christianity always repeat the following paraphrase: "You need to pray to God in order to be saved. God will give you salvation if you believe in God." Or something along those lines. All that shows is that God is a selfish, self-centered, self-praising hypocrite. I'm not saying I don't believe in God, and I'm not saying I do, but I need to ask, why is it that this is such a recurrent theme in Christianity? And why do people keep spreading it when it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever?
Because it's something that has been passed down generations as folk and legend, along with other stuff that cannot be proven otherwise. So people take it as is and keep passing it down in modern times. All I hear is yaddy yaddy 'cause God made it so and so.
Damn, that's a nice ass right there. Anyways, after starting at that for a few minutes... I read another article where the guy who "found" this date also predicted another "end of the world" date which didn't come true.
