You can still buy these in Toronto, just go to any major chinese supermarket in markham or scarborough. It's not healthy for you, but most good foods aren't anyways haha
The problem is that there are 1.3billion to feed and obviously not enough supply so they find ways to manipulate food
There are actually a few Chinese importers who have passed the strict inspections set forth by the FDA since 2007 and thus, had gotten some product past customs. However, the bulk of the suppliers have been whittled down to only a few. So yes, you can certainly get them, but I think the prices have crept up a bit. At any rate, I never liked the stuff so I really don't pay much attention to it.
wow... these bring back memories! No wonder there hasn't been any of these in the cupboard in so long... I can't believe I've been in the dark about this for like four years... I never knew they were so bad for the health either. darn.
Flames just noticed 2 cans of fried dace in black bean sauce in the kitchen, manufactured in 2009 expires in 2012. I'm so gonna eat it and get sick after my last exam!
£3.50 a can?? didnt know they are that expensive now!!then again i havent bought them for years!!lol!
If you didn't get sick from the first one than the second shouldn't be a problem... I think it's fine to see this stuff from time to time, it's just too good not to eat it... it goes well with rice, congee and even rice noodles (any made from rice?).
Grew up eating this. Used to love it. Now when i have it for dinner, i dont feel like eating it. I dont know why~~
I like the fuu juk version and the mooi choi version too. Those are better than the black bean ones IMO.
that looks like shit but shino eats shit so it fits hahaha anyways i dont like anything that involves fish or seafood and cans unless maybe its those abalone ones still doesnt taste that good. why not just go for a can of SPAM
