Wilx927, seriously, what do you have against other asain cultures? I can't think of a "korea copies china" moment right now but I know for sure that they do copy Western culture at times. *cough*Bi*cough*
Lol.. don't they (the three real Asian countries ) all copy eachother all the time??? I've heard alot of korean songs being a remake of old japanese songs...
Actually before i get into this. I love koreans (bf is korean), so i love their culture. I'm going to bore you guys with some facts. read on if you are interested. Imperial China saw korea as a loyal "little brother", its right-hand man, and the two enjoyed a great deal of positive interchange. Korea flourished as a conduit between China and Japan for the flow. Especially from China to Korea to Japan, of culture religion, technology and social and political institutions. Chinese cultural and political influence can be seen in the number of Korean words of Chinese origin, approximately 70% of all Korean vocabulary, although the two languages are linguistically distinct. In many ways, the use of Chinese in Korean and Japanese is similiar to the use of Latin by Europeans in the post-Roman era. Korea's elite class, called yangban, were trained in Chinese classics, and civil service exams were conducted using Chinese characters. Even nowadays, technical words are typically formed by stringing together relevant Chinese characters. Also one of the number systems (sino-korean) that koreans use was copied from the chinese language. Now who copies who? Either way, Chinese/Korean/Japanese all copy each other :bigthumb: I have more facts if you guys wanna know -laugh
songs wise i know that a korean singer sang their version of the mandrain hit song.. mice loves rice!
the mice love big rice is a chinese song but they hav a korean version n the kenny kwan song - break up dont be sad hav a korean version too
honestly, if they really do 'copy' i have no problem with it because people will only copy you if they think that there is something good about it. However, I cannot stand it when people say 'OMG CHINESE COPY SO MUCH KOREAN STUFF, THEY ARE SO INCREATIVE!!'. Everyone copies each other, koreans have copied chinese stuff too and I don't see why they can't understand that
