Susie, if you're going to take the cable car.. pay the extra money for the glass one. The floor is made of glass and it's pretty nice (that's if you're not afraid of heights) Have you been over to Macau?? If you're going to HK with a bunch of friends, I def suggest you try BBQing there.. it's fun If you live in Tai po, I think the best transportation is by train. The train system is very efficient and easy to understand there. Just take it to the TsimShaTsui station and walk a few blocks south to get to Avenue of Stars. If it's not your first time to HK, you probably visited most of the sight seeing places already.. so the only thing left to do is just eat/shop and walk around. As I mentioned, if you've never been to Lamma Island you should go there.
Awsome! I'll check those shopping centre's out! haha, pretty much - you shop anywhere! lol. Okay! MTR it is then! Also what about: 香港會議展覽中心 Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre > 香港灣仔博覽道1號 Cos that's where Twins will be holding their concert! So need to know how to get there. Yeah, I had a looked at the website. Is that cystal cabin new? Cos my mum never knew there was another cable car. haha. haha, surprisingly when 'Return of the cucko' was showing on TV yesterday, my mum asked if wanting to goto Macau. haha. Don't mind going - as never been before! Prob will check out lamma island too. haha. But yeah.. I thought I done all the tourist attractions, just thought there might be some that I've missed. lol.
I think the crystal cabin is new.. Definitely a less nauseous way to go to the Buddha than by bus If you're in HK, you should definitely visit Macau unless your passport requires you to get a visa. Macau has the best Portuguese egg tart.. it's really OMG good. And also you can walk around and eat Beef/pork jerky from shop to shop There's also a mall in ShamShuiPo called Dragon Centre (building is green).. not really a high class mall but I like going there
Ok bb got me.. Sai kung do have better seafood! It's probably cheaper than eating seafood at lamma island too... tourist trap
@ SD - MTR will also take you to Wan Chai, just have to change to the HK Island line. You exit via one of the B exits (Im pretty sure its B), then you take the pedestrian bridge all the way pass all the gov buildings, then you will see the exhibition centre. There are plenty of signs there so you wont get lost. @ BB - Tuen Mun or Lei Yue Mun also has good seafood
Yes there is a glass cable car, but if you are afraid of height i recommend you not to take it. The view is pretty crazy. You can see everything underneath you.
Actually there is a special line for the crystal cabin because there isn't too much of them... you feel like VIP when you're on that line haha
Another place to visit: http://www.hongkongextras.com/_sky100.html sky 100! mum mentioned somethign like this to me, but didn;t know what its called. but found now.
