i am on topic. its a discussion and i am answering it like so. i gave my opinion on the original topic. and having a conversation with NAS on his quest to collection ps3 games.
Nas, I have a question.. How many games do you have so far? less than 100? if so.. get working on it!!!!
to be honest, i think it's great for the collector as it is a hobby but personally think it's quite a waste of money. it would have cost a lot to buy every game and then to think that ur not actually going to play it but just keep it sealed. seems silly. as for earning money. i doubt he would earn a substantial amount in the near future as there are so many games out there second hand unless the game was particurlarly rare and sought after. plus, i guess anyone could have the games sealed so for that reason it wouldn't have a greater value than the purchase price in my eyes. especially since the second hand market for games means that the games are sold for much cheaper prices. moreover, can't people just reseal them. it's not like comics where it can cost a lot of money bcos it is part of a whole story so a certain comic could raise a lot of money if it is rare. with games, new technology will come out and new games will come out. so i don't think it will be worth much in value.
^ A full catalogue of PSX games would become valuable long before a collection of PS2 games. If he can get a full Neo Geo collection then i would be impressed.
