TVB is currently airing reruns of the 7 year old classic drama War and Beauty during the late night hours. Audience are starting to chase the series again with the ratings reaching up to 7 points. Producer Jonathan Chikis preparing to start War and Beauty 2, and anticipates the original cast. However, Gigi Lai has already retired and Bowie Lam left TVB, so the only cast left are Sheren Tang, Charmaine Sheh, Moses Chan and Maggie Cheung. Their schedules still need to be looked at before consideration. Producer Chik reveals that the production is still in the preliminary planning stage and the cast list is not confirmed yet. Back then, Ada Choi wasn't able to take part in War and Beauty because of her conflicting schedule, but this time she has hope to be in the sequel. Producer Chik said Ada is a very good actress, and hopes she'll be able to participate. The sequel is temporarily scheduled to start in February 2012, and hopes to shoot in other countries. I haven't watched the first one.. but for a 7 year old drama to reach 7 points is hard especially with the quality and such. Might actaully watch the 2nd one. I didn't know Gigi Lai retired! So young to retire.. but i understand
lol, yeahh.. gigi retired a few years ago now.. because of her brother accident.. so she had too look after her bro business or something.
I loved the first series... too bad its not the same cast as before but hopefully they will find more great actors/actresses to star in this series! Looking forward to it!
I too ain't seen the first. Seeing the actors/actress in the first series make it seem quite good. Might need to check it out some day
not really .. if tvb replayed the series thats been heavily promoted/ loved by the audience in the past e.g heart of greed etc .. they will easily have the same effect

First one took forever to get going, by the time it got real interesting, it was the end, the end was ok also, Gigi gold dig some old rich guy, that's why she left.
I don't understand why you would need gigi and bowie ="= i mean. they DIED in the first season! it would be creepy if they appeared again!
