Practically everyone I know tells me to get the iPad2, but I read that the Samsung Galaxy is pretty good. What do you think? Be like everyone else and get the iPad2 now or wait for more reviews on the Samsung galaxy?
why don't you figure out what your purpose is for the device and decide for yourself... if you want easy interface, a bunch of game apps, get ipad2.. if you want something with expandable memory, and more features and customization.. get Galaxy.. depending on how tech savy you are, what you want to get out of it.
When it comes to tablets, I really think Android Honeycomb tablets are superior to ipads in almost every way, minus app availability. In terms of usability, honeycomb is actually a lot easier to use than ipads, a monkey can use it. The idea of just having icons in a grid, as opposed to having the ability to have widgets, on a 10 inch screen is kind of retarded imo. And, needless to say, flash. Though this doesn't mean it's the same for smartphones. I would actually prefer an iphone over an android phone at this point.
Tab 10.1 has no expendable micro SD I would go with the tab myself, because it can amost read any video format ( ex :.mkv or rmvb) without having to convert. Just need to download a free player of the market
I prefer the Ipad2. I recently purchased a Galaxy Tab 10.1 and i dont know whats with it, but it seem to have a major lagging issue like the motorola xoom tablet. I believe you can download VLC player for ipad to watch majority of the formats for movie.
I just has to do a group presentation on this in comparing the big 4 tablets, overall we choose the samsung because of it's flexibilty, it's up to what the user wants but if ur going to get something this big you better stick with something that has flash support so for that reason alone the ipad2 was an obvious no go.
Update to Android version 3.1. There is a known lag for the galaxy 10.1 at version 3.0.1, so after you update to 3.1, you'll see a tremendous difference. The A5 and the Tegra 2 chips are nearly identical... They use the same ram..
Only Samsung don't have expandable memory. Asus, Acer, Motorola, Lenovo, etc. all have expandable memory.
