Wayne Lai, Kent Cheng and Kristal Tin were at the costume fitting for TVB new series The King Makers. Wayne expressed that the series is like the male version of Beyond the Realm of Conscience. It turns out that in the early years Wayne had already collaborated with Kent Gor before and learned that this time he turned down a Mainland grand production in order to participate in this series: "There's no other in TVB that is like him, only he didn't give up on me. We will have sparks. (Will you and Kent be like ... and Vicki Zhao falling out?) There are no you or I in TVB." Kent Gor also admitted he lost 2 million for this series: "For a good artist in TVB, Wayne is the number 1 candidate! (He thanked you for not giving up on him.) Why did he use my lines? well they said "like", so technically its not a remake, but seeing Kent and Wayne in the same series does interest me to watch this.
