lol... we all a minority and so many of u bashing on them... how ironic!! There is so much wrong with this! In NL i have to deal with racist fuckers sometimes... I can do whatever a Dutch person can.... but still I am looked at differently cuz im chinese....I can only start to imagine how black ppl feel... The thing with chinese is that we are seen as hard working etc... not really associated with bad things otherwise I'd be as unlucky as the other people who are seen as "bad" only cuz of my skin tone/background (something i didnt get to choose myself but what i am more than happy with)....

U guys are prejudiced against black ppl... probably because u never dealt with them/made friends with em... n u only stick to ur own kind n never make friends with ppl with other backgrounds? OR u have seen a few bad guys :p n now ur against all of em? At least thats what I think... otherwise I dont see how u could make these statements....

not much, just RockkxD and ab289. what i say to my friends who say racist things about others is don't let me hear you complaining when people are racist against you because you reap what you sow.

but when anonymous on the internet its easy to say stuff you would never say beyond the keyboard, very cowardly, very Randian.

Keep the race bashing in here to an absolute 0.
You can freely express your views, but watch that thin line where it becomes race bashing.
Else this thread will be closed.

    Thank You!

Im so frustrated with all the BLATANTLY RACIST comments being spewed on this thread that i had no idea how to respond....but um you pretty much took the words out of my mouth THX!

furthermore, all of these people making silly comments about blacks don't realize their thought process is just as CRAZY as the guy on the bus beating up on a poor old man. This is exactly the problem with racism....nobody ever looks INWARD to realize they themselves are part of the problem! smh:no:

In my experience, racism is very much a two way street and some who profess to be intelligently tolerant often turn out to be the most indulgent of their own race based biases. One of the unfortunate realities that faces the far east is there is an almost unspoken but pervasive racism that remains quite tolerated by just about all people there; meaning that they know it exists but they're not too uncomfortable about it (ie there are no government or social pressures to stop or change this behavior). Asians by and large, have been immigrants to other lands, and there has not been the mass migrations of other ethnicities into traditional Chinese, Korean, Japanese, et cetera territories until recently (by recently, I mean historically, like within the last century).

But as Asian nations continue to prosper, racial and ethnic enclaves (eg. Guangzhou's Africatown) within them, similar to traditional Chinatowns, have formed. These have created a burgeoning social dilemma for authorities as race based friction have become routine:

I guess I simply expect more from people, when Asians have faced prejudice and racism. so to find so many people willing to 'dish it out' is disheartening. BUT FORTUNATELY....ignorance is a self-destructive mind-state. So i won't worry my pretty little head about all the people who should KNOW BETTER than to perpetuate such ridiculous ideology! -hellothar

One of the silver linings of technology today is that with the speed of communications, racist attitudes resulting from ignorance cannot persist (racist attitudes born of hate are quite another story). As people learn about one another, racial divides begin to close, and we find that we often have more in common than originally thought. Of course, there will always be bone headed people in every race that choose to revel in their own, as you stated, ridiculous ideology.

    And of course, there's this:

    ...and then there's this:

Sometimes, race relations is like trying to hold back the sea.

Yep, I'm a New Yorker. Black v. Asian racism was, and is, a fact of life, though it's improved tremendously in the half century that I've lived here. I also understand the difference between what is racist versus who is racist; they're not necessarily the same thing. Even your "...how these people..." rings of stereotype. And your "...most of them..." would mathematically qualify to mean as least greater than half. So in effect, you're saying 51% (or greater) of black New Yorkers are jackasses.

I beg to differ. I find that it is really the very young, uneducated, and unemployed, to be afflicted with jackass-mania, regardless of color.

regardless of color is right! Racism reeks of stupidity, I'm acquainted with plenty of young and intelligent peeps from several different backgrounds who wouldn't entertain such an antiquated an unintelligent view! and for everybody on this thread can I just yell 'Check yo-self' LOL!! The 'racist' in the room MIGHT BE YOU! Thanks for having good sense Ralphrepo :D
