I wouldn't mind going to those places for vacation or working for a brief time, but to live their for long term, no thanks. Hong Kong and Singapore are really crowded. >< Shanghai is too city like for me, and my Mandarin is horrible; I wouldn't survive.

definitely if an opportunity was given i would choose Hong Kong. Just to experience the chance to work and live in another country and as well as improve on my language skills.

The only problem is living there and the hot weather and humidity, you have to bare in the streets, transportation and other costs of the crowd should not be a problem ... just looking for a place to live ....

Have thought about it, but I wouldn't do it because it's to expensive (pay is not impressive), you will be stress at work due to long hours and when you live there long enough you will get bored.
Plus, it's to crowded there and I kinda like the open space Canada has.

pay is impressive as long as u get there as an expat... hired as a "local" of course won't be great

All three places are fun to visit during certain part of the year, especially HK during Christmas and Chinese New Year. It is tough for the whole year, if your are not used to the hot weather and humidity.

i actually thought about it. if i cant live in the u.s then i might go live in hong kong. its more likely i would probably go to britain or somewhere in europe tho

u do know that degrees from western countries are high sought after in asia... so if you've graduated, gotten some good experience, its not that bad
but as with everything in asia - you need to know something or someone

living there tho, costs of living are definitely much lower

I would love to try living in Asia for a while, the language barrier can be tricky but once you are over there you will pick it up as you go along (with lessons of course) as it will be your main language of communication. any of those 3 cities I would like to live and see what it is like!
