i read on sankakucomplex.com that the girl later died from her injuries. Police have apparently since arrested the drivers of both vehicles.

as horrendous as it is ... it is kinda plausible that 18 people just walked on by ... isnt it in china that if you get involved shit happens to you? i always got told from hk side of family saying stuff like .. oh if you see someone trying to commit suicide ... don't get caught up on it cause shit might fall in your hands etc etc ... and im sure there was loads of stories of babies and children injured is used as a distraction for muggers to attack you .. or some shit like that ...... but any ways .. dayumm :/
the mom was at fault as well..how can she not know? if you have a 2 year old, you should be watching her 24/7 when u're out and not let her wander alone. Irresponsible parents. These drivers are reckless as well and they need to press some charges on hit and run. People don't seem to have a heart in China and don't want to get involved with anything. The girl was alive, as you can see her moving and was probably screaming. Just heartles.................
I saw that news program for the past few days and it was tough to watch. The excuse the first driver gave was so pathetic, cause he didn't want to pay for the high price for hitting the kid. He knew he hit the kid so he stopped but still ran him over. There was news from the same program, days ago that some people fake accidents and accuse those who try to help them for money. You have people who don't want to get involved for so many reason but still those excuses for just not helping a child who's bleeding and crying in pain for like several minutes is so unthinkable.
sad and very disappointing... but thats what the culture is like over there unfortunately =( more and more, it just appears as tho its always just everything for yourself
That's no excuse. It's your duty as a human being to help that little girl. If this girl dies, then everyone single one of those people that just walked by deserve to get run over by 5 trucks each and die. Parents defiantly have to take part of the responsibility for the first hit, but the subsequent injuries after that should be fully put on everyone who was around that area. All of them should be at locked up in prison, cause as far as I'm concerned they aided in the possible murder of a little girl. I cannot believe this shit happens in a civilized country. Everyone who ignored the girl does not deserve to live and breathe the same air as the rest of us. They're all a waste of space. There is no excuse whatsoever not to help that little girl.

Everyones out to make a buck in China even at other peoples good will.. Maybe if they brought the child to the hospital they would be responsible for paying and spend many months going to court and in the police station while they are already poor as fuck and can only spare time for their own children. I'm not saying this is right as i personally believe all these people deserve to goto hell or karma catches up. i don't know if this is the Genovese effect or just plain evil... The guy that ran over her again afterwards deserves as much shit as the first guy!
Yeah there are some cases where you drive through poor villages, they throw dead bodies on your vehicle and accuse you of running over them and demand compensation.
