For projectile motion, is the initial velocity of the Y axis (Vertical movement) always 0? Unless it says otherwise? Also, when do i use the quadratic formula to find time? and when do i use Vf = Vi + a(t)? im confused on which one to use.
I only got 1 question right outta like 5. LOOL! And it was dissecting the horizontal & vertical components -lol I think if you "launch" an object at an angle, eventually its peak would be 0m/s? So i think the initial velocity is w/e, then final is 0. Acceleration is -9.81.. so if you plug in formula you have time for half? Then x2 for full flight time? It's just like the cougar question our teacher gave us.. i think it's automatically 0m/s as the initial velocity for vertical component.. -lol On a side note.. do we ever need to use substitute or elim method to solve?
i did the x2 thing on the test a few weeks back. it doesnt work. LOOL. also, you remember the second question? the one with the hiker and the cliff, that one was quadratics.
i didn't even get that question. I thought the dood walked up 80m and threw it off? Apparantly it was not..?
