Leafs shoulda won 1-0. Wanted that Reimer shutout. Whole game it was almost like Leafs vs Ward. Connolly with 2, really only Ward deserved that 1 point that the Canes got
Cam stood on his head, his team failed him. Good win, but this was a sub-par team that showed up, we should be better. Connolly pots two, Kessel was deadly, Gardiner mishap, Franson as well, good win for Reimer. Still waiting for Optimus Reims to make an appearance.
Kaner shootout goal, very nice. http://video.blackhawks.nhl.com/videocenter/console?catid=1231&id=142358 Also HBO 24/7 Road to Winter Classic EP 1 - Rangers vs Flyers aired last night. Aaah Ryan Callahan... guy used to go to our restaurant on occasion when he played with the Storm. Max who was a Penguin last year gets to do this all over again. I enjoyed last years series, so looking forward to this one.
Great documentation! Where'd you find out about this? And here's the full vid:
I was on nhl.com last night, and I saw a promotion. Dang... I just finished downloading the file haha. I hope to see a Canadian Team participate in the Winter Classic in the near future. We have our own, but not nearly as popular as this one. Last night, they also premiered this new series called 'NHL 36' which follows a player for 36 hours, and you get a look into their everyday life etc. First player: Patrick Kane. http://video.nhl.com/videocenter/console?id=142207 Since his Cabbie debacle, he seemed to have cleaned up quite well.
Kaner's NHL 36 It's nowhere near as good as the HBO series, but then again, can't compare Versus to HBO. Following a player for 36 hours straight isn't all that interesting. A week though, could be different.
Leafs had a great start. Then the penalties kicked in and also whooped our ass. Gotta work on that PK unit for sure.. lol After those penalties, we played better. But best of all tonight, Kulemin with a goal!!
Hawks win tonight, making it Coach Q's 600th win and now Hawks are in the lead. Good job boys. Upcoming Penguins and Habs games should be good!
i figure them being from toronto works very much in their favor. and why are there no posts about leafs vs kings?!
What do you mean them being from toronto works in their favor? And what leafs vs kings game? The one that never happened last monday? I know you're a kings fan, and they played hard, but that game would have gone a different direction if they called that offside that led to a goal.
Don't you remember back in reading comprehension classes in elementary school to always write down exactly what the question is asking when you answer it? :trollface2:
seeing as how hockey is predominantly a canadian sport and how toronto/ontario is the largest city/province in canada, i was saying i wouldn't be surprised if votes were garnered for that reason. not to take anything away from kessel, lupul, phaneuf, or the 4 sens players, but i'm just comparing it other situations like in the nba where you have big market teams (lakers, knicks, rockets) whose players get votes based on their geographic location. sort of like with the votes for yao ming and his teammates. as for the leafs vs kings game, i'm just surprised neither you or jeff made a comment about the game, seeing as how you guys are hardcore fans after all. also, i'm not sure if the game would have gone a different direction if that doughty offside was called since the score still would have been tied, but i definitely wouldn't have liked the kings chances. last in the league in scoring... AHAHHAHA. i laughed out loud for that one! EDIT: person, i thought you were a chicagoan all this time, but i see the ontario now. -sweat
That ref costed us a game. Thats all i gotta say! But for now, I think i'll put Gus in starting and Reimer as back up. Still not Optimus Prime yet..
What is there to comment on when it's a lost game? Especially when it's one where the refs clearly costed us the game? We've never commented on a loss. And the game would surely have gone a different direction, because the score would have been 2-1 , which wouldn't need overtime, and therefore no shootout. The score was 3-2, one goal coming from the shoot out, and the other was the stupid offside. The score would hve been 2-1 Leafs. We played like shit, but it was a game that we could have won. And it's a game that we should have won.
which is exactly why i was a bit surprised as to why you guys didn't comment on that controversial play. anyway, let the sutter era begin. can't say i like the guy.
