they haven't taken down megabus yet! LOL some stupid person would be bound to link them together somehow...
OMG! just tried download some backlogs of drama episodes that I missed and found this out. Nothing touched MU for free downloading.... those cheapskates company. Anonymous always at the front line to teach them a lesson, good for them. But this will cost a long time and money if MU ever comes back. Ah well back to those slow sites that needs waiting between files.
man had a thing for cars: http://techcrunch.com/2012/01/20/do...upload-founders-valuable-cars-getting-seized/
^ Car plates as shown on picture only: MAFIA, HACKER, CEO, V, STONED, POLICE KIM CO was one that wasn't shown on picture. funny customised licensed plates and look at the pink car haha. I read the comment and checked the first picture, did you lot see a giraffe on the top left too, I do! He got a thing for animals (wild life) too lol
Ok, so I did go through the 3 pages of this thread and except for only one person no one seems to worry about what will happen to all those uploaders that have been uploading those "backups". I'm not too worried with my small contribution in Asian dramas, but I'm sure the FBI will have a field day going through tons of logs and stuff like that. So whether MU is found guilty or not, I am sure they will be going after the big fish. Reminds me of the old days with eMule when Paramount Pictures made a complaint through my ISP [offtopic]Still after the WMD incident that started a war, you would think that foreign countries would be a bit more careful with following such ridiculous orders from the US. I'm not even going into the The Hague Invasion Act, that's just preposterous!!![/offtopic] Anyway, there is a discussion group on Facebook with some quite interesting comments. The director of BREIN (the Dutch equivalent of MPAA and RIAA) had the following to say: Here is another interesting quote from an article that provides an in-depth analysis of the 72-page indictment: Makes you wonder if the snitch that passed on all those internal e-mails to the FBI was none other than the alleged CEO, Swizz Beatz. Oh well, all I can say is that the US is not making too many friends this way. They could have at least let people get their personal stuff from the servers, even assuming that only 1% of users were using it for legit purposes.
SOPA and PIPA are canceled for now, see: http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/01/20/us-usa-congress-internet-idUSTRE80J10X20120120 So the FBI has to refund you
The more i think about our hours put into uploading stuff on MU and chances that it might not be there after, the more i feel depressed.
what the ???? megaupload is my favorite download link. megavideo went down too .... So bad ..............
is sad and yes that's hours of work, but you see that coming sooner or later right? similar to playing games, all the time spent on beating it, you had fun but you just wasted those hours do they need to? the US is never there to try to make friends, they somewhat act like a bigger brother and will help out the younger ones, if allies like Canada do not help, it will hurt the economy by just not import forestry, natural gas, water resources from us...
Now that the US government and various law enforcement agencies have seized Megaupload's assets, what will happen to all the users that have uploaded and downloaded files from MU?
^ Sure they can track every single one of us. But they'll have to build a new jail if they send every single one of us to jail. That's probably how many people used megaupload illegally.
