Good! Scare the piss out of every single US citizen so that every single citizen will vote every single politician out of office unless they overturn all copyright laws.
Why's that man so happy, it make it seem like he is VERY AGAINST illegal activity such as [illegal] downloads o_0...of course he is! 150k per infridge work, sheesh. HE love to emphasise on this and "anyone who uses MU, you're screwed...they're coming after you"!
It sounds ridiculous, right? But that is exactly the point that he is making; that the laws and penalties surrounding these laws are so draconian that they no longer have any basis in reality. In effect, they're only designed to protect the owners of said rights at all costs, even those that would be considered way beyond reason. Suppose they came out with a law that said copyright infringement would be punished by the death penalty? Should people be up in arms about it? Frankly, I'm wishing that this latest copyright battle forces the American public to come to its senses and demand that politician rein in the excesses of copyright laws. That is a copyright should only last for a certain number of years. As it is now, anything that is copyright lasts, for all intents, forever; and if it doesn't the owner will apply to congress for an extension. The purpose of copyright laws was to protect creativity. However, business interest have subverted this original intent to turn it into permanent intellectual ownership. Tell your political representative to REPEAL COPYRIGHT LAWS NOW!!
That's true, like patents, they expire after a certain amount of years and companies must apply for one in every country that they desire to protect their product idea. So why can't these music/movies (product) copyright expire like you've mentioned? (Rhetorical question)
Well, just look at his fail toys reviews that he does. He thinks of all sorts of things that normal people probably wouldn't (some are actually kinda entertaining). Total exaggeration.
Actually, I didn't know that megaupload was an illegal website. I thought it was a website to share files, but most people decided to share copyrighted stuff.
