Hi guys, sorry for being away for the last few days. I have been kind of busy with work lately and TV streams are not going to pay the bills Thanks for helping out slaser and don't worry about your Chinese skills, I barely understand the language to be honest ... lol. Feel free to share more details about your IE page or any other additional channels that you have. If you prefer, PM me and I can add it to the main post. Yep, I will reply to you shortly.
I have added direct links for the following two channels on the main post: Guangzhou Television main channel (广州台 or 广州电视台) Guangzhou News channel (广州新闻台) @dreamer66, I'll PM you the links for Guangdong sports soon ... and then hopefully go to sleep soon as well. I guess this is mainly a Mandarin channel, correct ? Btw, just so everybody knows, the thread is mainly about Cantonese channels, but I do not mind helping with channels of any other language, just don't expect me to add it to the main post
Phantoman, thanks, looking forward for your link. Guangdong is an area (a provance or state) in China that people there speak Cantonese. So, Guangdong sports (广东体育) is a sports channel in cantonese.
slaser, that is very interesting, your image clearly shows that the channel playing (as indicated on left side of video screen) is Guangdong sports (广东体育). However, I'm not getting it anymore, I'm getting a different channel (深圳卫视) instead. As mentioned before, I was able to get Guangdong sports channel in the beginning (about 2 - 3 ) days ago when you posted the link. Wish I know how to post an image like you did to show you what I'm getting.
Interesting, because when I tried the channel they were only speaking Mandarin. Maybe they have a Mandarin version as well ??? On the other hand, the Guangzhou channels were speaking Cantonese. And yes, I do know about Guangdong, I have been there (Toisan) a few years ago
Yes, Phantoman, I think you are correct about Guangdong channels in Mandrain, but I think Guangdong sports channel is mostly in Cantonese. I think the rules from central government has sometthng to do with local channels broadcasting in Mandarin. There was some sort of protest or demonstration in Guangzhou last year regarding the matter. Just hope that they can keep the few Cantonese speaking channels. So, if you can find out the sopcast address for the Guangdong Sports, it would be great. Would be nice to be able to watch the upcoming Olympics in Cantonese and follow the chinese olympians perform this year. BTW, Toisan is very close to Xinhui where I'm from.
I have already send you a private message with the direct links to 广东体育, or was that some other channel ?
i'm not sure what is happening but try this new link I found. http://v.gdtv.cn/index.php?option=video,liveview&type=record&channelId=4
Hello Phantoman, Sorry to bother you, but I was wondering if it was possible for me to also get the Taiwanese channels for Sopcast. I also been searching everywhere and was only able to find expired/offline streams. I appreciate your time and help. Thanks in advance. John
Taiwanese Channels Hello Phantoman, I would really appreciate if I could also get that list of Taiwanese Sopcast channels list. I, too been searching and only found expired/offline streams. Thanks in advance, John
Hello Phantoman, sorry for going off-topic. I was wondering if its not too much trouble to also get a PM with the Taiwanese channels Sopcast list. I have been searching all over and only found expired/offline streams. I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
I use the rtsp links from the WLTV.TXT on my Android Daroon Player. None of the channels work, anyone have the same problem?
slaser, it is very strange. Pretty much the same thing happened. The very first time it worked perfectly fine without any problem, nice pictures, good resolution... etc., I was so happy and excited. Then, I was off to do something, came back and tried the same website, no go, just got a black screen where the video used to be. I'm wondering now if the IP address matters, I'm in north America. Where are you? I seem to remember sometime ago someone mentioned that some TV programs in HK and in southern China only allow their programs accessible to the local area. I wonder if this is the case. It would be nice if someone in north america here can confirm this.
Thanks, Phantoman, all the links seem to work, except that I don't notice any different between the last 2 links.
It is strange that its works for you the first time and not the next. I just tried the link and this is what I see. I'm also in North America on the east coast. I hope Phantoman's links will provide you some relief.
Yes, slaser, that looks like the channel I was getting when it worked the first time. So, it may not be the IP address issue since you are in North America & also the east coast. What else could it be?? My internet provider is via FIOS, can't imagine that can be the problem. -confused-confused-confused Phantoman's links work but at a lower resolution than the one's from you.
