@JVC888, I have 1080p content in mkv files to test with if I ever get my TVPad. Nobody home when they came around today :( Even 'hawai' is going to get his before mine, lol. Anyway, so you are saying that it does not play mkv files at all ? @uniqlo, I was expecting it to switch to 1080p depending on the content that is being played. I guess this is something we can ask their support.

Firstly, I'm no expertise in A/V products. I've just downloaded a few "The Avengers" 1080p trailers from hd-trailers.net, 2 of them are .mov and the other one is .mp4, all of them can be played on tvpad, however, my TV indicated the output is just 720p. I think, the TCC8901 chip can handle 1080p, but, the device is only having 720p output.

Well the WLTV links keep changing frequently, so it wouldn't surprise me that it's down again. If someone can provide me with access to the WLTV VIP (or whatever it is called) client which has access to all of the channels it would make my life easier. Now I have to scavange the Internet for working links, because the free WLTV version does not contain all the channels anymore. SO IF ANY OF YOU CAN READ AND WRITE CHINESE, TELL ME HOW TO GET THE FULL WLTV VERSION. THANK YOU!

I don't think it's VIP version. I tried searching, also tried something called I think... MeteorTV or something... No success.
Don't waste your time. It was not worth it. It's basically the same thing as the normal WLTV that we already have, no clue why they added VIP to it. So the search continues.
Thanks for the reminder. Last time I tested it the quality was quite bad, but I have added it to the main post anyway. I am mainly using TVPad now.
