Whats the spec of the wifi bridge? Been testing TVPad for 2 days now using a network cable. Would any wifi bridge work?

I tried with a ntfs formatted usb to install apps, it works for me. But there is another issue, I watched a tvb series 720p rmvb with the standard player on usb, it stop playing after a few minutes. Anyone know what the problem is? Is it caused by the ntfs format which I have used for the usb thumb? have a m121 with 2.6fw

I say any bridge would work, since the TVpad wouldn't know the difference since it only detects the cable that is plugged in. specs would be dependent on your router. Obviously, a G router would be less effective if you have a N bridge. Not saying it wouldn't work since most N devices are backward compatible.

Try FAT32. But sometimes it is because of the file format and what codec is used. I noticed my tvpad won't play some rmvb files as well, but they would play on my computer. Maybe the codec on TVpad is not the latest one? Maybe someone in the forum has a better knowledge on this.

Btw isn't the tvpad using software encoding? Maybe it can't handle 720p. Can try lower resolution rmvb though.

come to think of it, I think Goofnerd is right. The rmvb files I was able to play were not 720p. I think they were 480p. Can someone with both resolutions try? I deleted my rmvb files. I always do after watching. thanks!

HD TVB and HD ATV removed from Lily App

Looks like they removed both channels on Lily app!!! Now we have to use HITV and 粵海 cantonese for TVB channels.

    I want my HD back!!!!!!

I updated it, thanks for the info. Last time I tried it did not work for me though. Maybe it depends on the size of the USB stick as well. Anyway, at least it works for some of you.

The direct links are still alive right now and still constantly buffering and unwatchable for me. Or did they come back on TVPad ?

And which app you are using? There are 2 as far I know, 本地影片 http://www.tvpadfans.com/thread-4324-1-1.html
and anotherone which I have, dont know the name, but the icon is a globe with an arrow in it.

I tried with a ntfs 32gb usb to update the apps with succes.

About Lily, this is announced at the tvpad forum:

There are recently several complains about Lily's streaming quality. They have taken all the unstable channels off line now and willl put them back one by one if they are stable.

I tried it with the same config, 32GB with NTFS. So I have no clue.

Thanks for the Lily TV update. It's unstable because they need proper streaming servers instead of using a PC at someone's home :)

I installed 本地影片 and it seems like it can handle 720p, although the fist ep still stops (nearly at the end), but the 2nd ep does play well till the end.

I wonder if we can install the chinese channel apps on this model. I assume you should be able to. The device looks much nicer and also has both AV and HDMI ports. I would be piss if they come out with this for the chinese market when I just got the M121 recently.

I like/prefer the Apple TV version as well compared to this Korean version. Btw, TVPad also has both AV and HDMI, so I am not sure what you mean.

I can't remember right now, but both TVB Jade and TVB HD are using a 16:9 aspect ratio on the TVPad ? If so, then I'm quite sure that the TVPad just changes the aspect ratio of the screen (VLC Player can do that as well). I would only expect TVB HD to be using a 16:9 aspect ratio. Do any of the release groups record from TVB HD ???

from the specs, it indicates it supports usb 2.0 and SD. So the connection is there, we just can't see it from the pictures. If it really don't have any usb or SD/TF connections, then most likely all updates will be done online.

Well I guess this means that we can soon install Korean apps as well ? Not that it will be useful for me, but it might be interesting for others.

Btw, on this Korean page they have a section about VOIP. Interestingly I also saw a Chinese page about TVPad yesterday that mentioned VOIP. Google Translate didn't make much sense, so anyone has more information about this ? I can't imagine that you can use the media player as a VOIP device :)
