Finally found a free TVB stream that works flawlessly for me. I added http://tvbj2.com/ to the main post as well. Click on HK in the upper-right corner to filter on HK channels.

Btw, I seem to remember this website from somewhere. Maybe from the days of the old 3TV.

    EDIT:
Here is the direct link for the TVB stream: r tsp://204.45.111.18/tvb.06 7 (remove spaces)
Knowing these people, they will change it soon. Seems to be the same people from WLTV and 3TV.

Thanks. I have added it to the main post as well. It looks like we have enough free TVB streams again :) Let's see for how long.

Can someone help me! I have BETV 1.6.0.7 beta (latest version available) installed on my Windows XP Home Edition Desktop. I am able to log in and get the channel lineup, but when the channel starts playing I get a black screen. I can hear the audio coming through the speakers but thats all. I really need help with this. Thanks.

You are missing a codec (my guess is h264), but it's difficult to know which one. So you might as well install one of those codec packages like fddshow (http://sourceforge.net/projects/ffdshow/). You decide though, personally I hate codec packages.

I installed the ffdshow you provided but no luck. How do you go about without installing a codec. I tried VLC Player also, still nothing. Just sound no video.

Phantoman, anyway you can figure out the media player tvb link for tvbj2.com site? Those pop up ads at full screen really annoys me, and it doesn't help my mom who is computer illiterate.

Scroll up until you see some bold red letters and you will see the direct link. You can play it using Windows Media Player. If it does not work anymore, then let me know.

I have added most of the channels in the HK list of tvbj2.com in the main post. Download the "tvbj2.txt" file to see them. If the links stop working let me know and I can see what I can do.

Thanks so much Phantoman. Seems TVB is buffering now. I finally broke down and bought the TVpad. This cat and mouse game is getting old. Why don't these tv stations know that they can just get a bigger audience and charge more for commercials. Hope that Lily app gets fixed.

I don't think it is hard for TVB to keep tabs on us if this thread is one of the top returns on google

I don't think TVB is the problem here, but those tvbj2 (aka 3tv) people. They have been giving us headaches for years. I recall even paying for their service for them to shutdown soon afterwards. It cannot be a coincidence that tvbj2.com and it's direct links went offline after the links became public. Btw, someone released them before me on a Chinese site. In the past they used to change the extension of the URL, but now they seem to change the whole IP address. If they are so desperate to keep their streams to themselves, then they can ... excuse my French ... stick their streams where the sun doesn't shine :)

Ok, I take parts of my words back, the links are back :) Let's see for how long.
