I can't believe I'm posting about this, but this was just tooo funny.. I never watched American Idol, ever, would see the commercials and bits and pieces of it as I clicked through the channels, but I've never watched a whole episode, and I doubt that I would again, but tonight for the first time. I'm watching the auditions in NY and lmao the people were so outrageous! The sob stories were hilarious, I laughed soo much! I was watching it with my mum and she was like, " I tink it's a comedy..." lol Omg.. there was this one girl that when she started to get desperate and beg to Simon, they started to play the piano in the background, it sounded like a soap opera lol >.< I was dying lol I doubt it, but is there anyone else watching this? Then for the people that thought they were so amazing, but obviously wasn't, I wondered: "Who on Earth told them that they sounded great or that they knew how to sing...??" Thus my next question: If you have a friend that was trying to get "discovered", but honestly didn't sound good, would you tell him/her? Or just cheer em on all the way?
is it a guest judge? jewel was taking part in the judging panel in chicago... and yes, they air the outrageous more and more so...
-unsure I don't know if she was a guest or not.. Maybe. lol I thought she was there because the producers didn't trust Paula Abdul anymore because I saw on Yahoo that she was drunk during some interview last week lol so they decided to add another person. Yea, it was crazy some of the people that were on there..
Really?.. I wouldn't be surprised.. my money's on Paula... lol I don't mean that in a mean way, it's just she seems kind of unstable.. I really doubt that Simon would be the one to go lol or that other guy.
maybe it could be randy jackson... paula can't go...her and simon have a thing under the desk haahaha
lol Really? who said that?.. Again, I wouldn't be surprised if that were true lol she was already accused of having a fling with a contestant.. -rolleyes
from what i heard ... the show is actually really cruel simon, paula, and randy are not the first judges that the contestants see. Actually there are 3 or 4 other judges that screens the 10's of thousands of individuals wanting to be on the show. the "not on tv" judges will cut down the auditions to a thousand or so ... and allowing those thousand to see the "tv" judges (simon, paula, and randy). so it makes you think, these "not on tv" judges are actually encouraging this horrible singers to continue and giving them false hope of making it onto the American Idol stage. When in reality, they didn't even have a chance. These people are just used to be our entertainment … to be pointed and laughed at. It’s pitiful and wrong. -nono
Hm...no comment... lol -shock O I never heard of that at all! That is evil... It kinda makes sense that AI would have off-screen judges though. Poor people.. It was humorous, but if it's true that they were used for that purpose, then that is mean.
lol, there is a canadian idol.... it's usually in the summertime following american idol season though... but i cant remember who won ^^ and it makes sense there's off-screen judges... i've always wondered how they can possibly go thru all those ppl lining up in the arena & outside... but yes, i think they put in 95% crap so they can show it on tv and 5% decent singers.... :S
lol, I know now!.. I went to the website and was like..So.. he wasn't making it up...... lol Yea, I 100% agree that it does make sense to have off-screen judges. However, my boss who eats, sleeps, and dreams reality television said that on the episode that I watched the other night, with that guy from Brooklyn, Ian, lol my boss said that he did the same " I'm a star" act on this other "reality" show called "So You Thing You Can Dance?" so I'm sure there are people that know that they're not talented in regards to singing that sign up for AI, just get a chance to be on television.
