Hey they look pretty cool, but that section between the rim and the centre only looks good with the white~~ the boogie green is jus Yakk -_-
Love the pattern on the ribbon, those red hues are like clouds! So Chinese-y without being cliche (unlike the fonts =_=b) The loop thing for the ribbon is demure with a touch of lively cuteness Is it just me, or does the medal has some resemblance with an ancient Chinese coin (those with a square hole in the middle) And I like the jade ^^
I think the design looks like the GLICO MAN, LOL. Look olds chool though :( The front is WAY cooler than the back.
I have to admit that it looks a little strange but it's good to have some Chinese culture with the medals. Hopefully I get to go to Beijing to watch the Olympics.
I think they are very nice, nut yeah i agree they are very stereotypical with their writing of Beijing
Oh, only now I spot this thread...Hmm at first I didn't like the medals but after a closer look I saw there's jade in the middle so it does add a nice Chinese touch to it. But it's the ribbon I like the most, the overall design of the medal self is somewhat old fashioned. The plastic, red bean paste colour, box is so 'Daai Look' style..yuck.
^ Yup, totally. Wouldn't it be WAY cooler if they have red wood boxes instead? The fact that the box is lidded instead of on a hinge is... like a lunch box. =_=b
