Artest going to Lakers Ariza To Rockets Poor Raptors :laugh2: It'll be Bosh next season :laugh2: Ariza's move to Houston was about respect Toronto has been looking to make a score in free agency, having dalliances with Magic unrestricted free agent forward Hedo Turkoglu and Knicks restricted free agent forward David Lee. However, to sign Turkoglu for the five years and $10 million annually he's seeking, Toronto would have to renounce its rights to several of its current free agents, including Shawn Marion and guards Anthony Parker and Carlos Delfino, who played this past season in Russia but whose rights still belong to the Raptors. "We had a substantially larger offer above the mid-level from Toronto," Lee said. "Trevor decided to go to Houston. I told Mitch (Kupchak, the Lakers' general manager) that it was never about the money; it was about respect." Rubio reportedly staying in Spain & Free Agent Deals Turkoglu Headed To Toronto Raptors In the end, Turkoglu, who spent the last two days in Portland, seemingly with every intention of agreeing to terms on a deal, simply changed his mind, deciding that he and his family would be more comfortable in Toronto, with its international makeup and large Turkish population. When the Blazers realized that Toronto had a superior offer on the table, they didn't try to change Turkoglu's mind, disappointed that Turkoglu didn't want to take a little less money in order to play with a better team.
OMG!! Hedo Turkoglu signed five-year contract worth about $53 million with RAPTORS!!! WTF!!!!! thats a lot of money
i agree hedo is good but not good enough to break the bank for him how are we suppose to sign marion and delfino etc also bosh in 2010. brian colangelo has made questionable trades/signings since coming here...this one is no different.
cuz he doesnt want to wait and see the same gabage season espeically with other teams makin good trades, doin nothing will only make tdot worse even with marion/parker/deflino/bosh I like the deal since we're already garbage the way we are and unless we get better bosh might not even want to stay.
Celtics will take banner 18, now that we have sheed, kind of iffy with signing grant hill though, hope that dont happen, we need to sign a young good FA =P
if turk come to raptors then bosh will prob leave next season..if raps make it to 2nd round in playoffs then it'll b worth it but i still don't see that happening....just hope something happens and raps don't want him anymore lol..since players sign in 2 days..turk is a good player but not that good to get 10.6 mill a year
thought i'd pop by in this thread, as i'm getting into all this NBA stuff Boston Celtics ftw!!! Utah jazz are pretty cool. haha
I beg to differ with the Celtic supporters They still need to prove they can beat the new Lakers squad
raps sign bargnani $50 million for 5 years? WTF bargnani $10 mill a year? this is stupid... artest is only $6 mill a year... WTF is raps doin? big big spender
I don't care about the 09-10 season, not much going on in big traders. The strong teams will most likely get stronger. Lakers and Celtics again, top teams. <_< The Calvs are looking ok with a few others. I want see the trading in 10-11 season, NYC have the money to buy a lot of new toys, hadn't care about the Knicks since Ewing or Houston was on the team. You got Wade and James. You guys were talking about the Raptors; can't afford certain players on the team after that signing of Turk(too much for him), guess the trade talking of Marion to the Mavs has started, it's not official yet but the deal is being made.
^unfortunately, NY wouldn't have as much money as you think. It was announced that the salary caps are decreasing this year and is already anticipated to decrease more in the 2010 big free market agents. This means they would have to go into luxury tax in order to get BOTH lebron and bosh
raptors sign Jarret Jack to 4 year 20 million i think its a good sign he can play pg and sg and is a reliable scorer and defender...5 mill a yr sounds right for him.
