2009 MBC Gayo Daejun MBC was the final stretch into the 2010 year and boy, did these guys make the wait worth while! From the lovable Kim Gura, Shin Jung Hwan, Park Myung Soo, and Lee Bo Young as the MC's to the eye-popping stages put on by the several talented kpop groups and solo artists. While all 3 gayo shows did an excellent job of wrapping up this great year, MBC went above and beyond the call of duty and left us completely awestruck and with out mouths wide open, that's for sure! SNSD's Seohyun - Love Rain *Team White vs. Team Black JYP vs. 2PM Dance Battle Usually, the master's the one schooling the students, but occasionally we're given the scenario where the students can school the teacher. Last year, JYP and his former protege Rain rocked the MBC stage with a classic dance battle. Two kpop juggernauts put on their dancing shoes and left the audience roaring for more from each one. With the large amount of screams and praise from the crowd, it's hard to decide who won! This year, JYP and his 2PM boys took a different approach to the dance battle theme. We start off with a skit of the 2PM boys running frantically and jumping off a cliff. Unfortunately, they didn't learn much in swimmer's ed and they drowned to their untimely deaths. However, they resurrected themselves just in time to perform Heartbeat! JYP took the stage along with the boys on the Matrix themed stage and performed yet another remix of Again and Again. As soon as we thought it was over, the master took the stage to school his students, 2PM in an epic dance battle. The two forces came together and performed Again and Again towards the end. UEE, Yoona, and Ga-in were clad in sexy bride outfits for Team White's performance of Madonna's Like A Virgin. Team Black, which consisted of Kahi, Yuri, and HyunA, heated up the stage with Britney Spears' Womanizer. And the wait is finally over - tonight, SNSD's Yoona and 2PM's Taecyeon executed their highly anticipated collab performance at the 2009 MBC Gayo Daejun / Grand Celebration. In this make-believe courtship, Taecyeon & Yoona secretly date only to break up over a misunderstanding. As you may predict, SNSD & 2PM members help the duo get back together for a happy ending. Now super idols like 2PM, SHINee and Super Junior as well as the quickly groundbreaking bands like BEAST and MBLAQ are all over the k-pop scene. Jewelry made the MBC Gayo Daejun all the more special because this is their last performance together with Seo In Young and Park Jung Ah at a year-end ceremony. Usually, he's popping and sliding on stage doing some sick dance moves but here, he sat down and played the piano. He's known among his fans for being a pro at playing the piano so he must have been excited for this stage since he never gets the chance to play his instrument on stage. Lee Bo Young on the other hand proved, once again, that her voice is worth a singing career. She sang beautifully as she harmonized with 2PM's pianist. This time, we have these 8 sexy ladies looking better than ever, synchronized, as if they're one group. Since these Pledis Entertainment artistes are close in real life, the chemistry on stage really shined through. It's also good to see that Raina is doing better after fainting during practice. These girls all know how to dance so the performance is a must-watch just because of that. On top of the hot dancing, this is the first time these ladies are up on stage together so enjoy!
