27 official complaints on Fala Chen's bra scene; Producer Amy Wong responds The Broadcast Authority (BA) received 26 complaints on Fala Chen's "take off clothes and showing bra" scene; TVB received 1 complaint. Although TVB had a complaint that the scene was not appropriate to be broadcast on television, but there are also supporters saying that the scene was reasonable and went along with the story. In the series, Fala misunderstood that Timmy Hung was gay, therefore it was reasonable that Fala treated him as a brother and does not need to avoid him while changing. "The Stew of Life" Producer Amy Wong felt surprised by audience complaints. She said that Fala's changing scene does not intend to convey bad or immoral behavior, the public is just overreacting. Amy also expressed that there is no difference if they changed the setting to a beach where swimsuits are revealed before they get into the water. Amy expressed that before doing this scene, she had done all her research. Gay men treat their opposite sex friends like sisters. The scene was arranged for this series because it is a comedy and should have some comedic effect. In the series, Fala misunderstood that Timmy is gay, the two become close friends. Amy understands that parents are worried, thinking that the scene should teach little girls how to protect themselves instead, but the series did display a "PG" rating before the episode started. Parents can still explain to their children on the actual content. Source: Mingpao Translated by: aZnangel @ ***
they complained because they don't have any bra like that... i assumed they all woman who complained the scene ? Their husband complained them, so they complained the series..... For Man....oh yea!
I agree I think that there is nothing wrong with the scene maybe something wrong with the person who lodge the complain.
well the title of drama is called 'YAL YING' = NUTRIOUS, related to healthy, a family orientated drama, so taking clothes off and showing young kids who are eating dindin with family in evening = NOT YAL YING, very unhealthy. no wonder the parents filed a complaint, Its kinda embrassing situation when family is watching semi-nude together. Yes chinese people are traditional thats what make us chinese not americans or other races!
come on...it wasnt even a sexy/revealing bra..... when kids go to a beach they will probably see more!
i dont eatting dinner with my parent for long time ! ... maybe in new year lol <_< im chinese and there is nothing wrong with that bra. give me a break, chinese is not that pure mine ... huuu ..we are chinese and we dont talk about sex lol .... what the hell is YAL YING ... are you invent that lol
the bra is bigger than her chest there is nothing to see. this is completely child proof lol yal ying is not nutrious lol well at least i dont think it is, yaw yik=nutrious. my cantonese is not completely fluent but i know the title is yaw ying juu fuu and "ying" = camp but the title means cool? im not sure "ying" as in looks and "ying"camp are the same character or not, im just guessing by the way its read.
'nutrious ' , chinese is made of 2 compounds, so 'yal ying' as in 'ying yeung''s 'ying', does not necessary need to be 'yal yik' to mean nutrious. Look at the character of the chinese word they put in. its not the modern stylish's 'ying' they have replaced the ying with nutrious's ying make it more related to cooking but sound like stylish's 'ying' when you say it without reading it. please go to chinese school before you watch drama . also When i talk about kids, 4-10. Are any of you typers above ^ under this catergory. I would want my future kid seeing someone on tv or in public changing suddenly. cos they will copy, thats what kinds do.
so basically no tv or ur kids since kids could copy anything...... like when they watch dbz they will think they can fly n jump outta their window n when watchin power rangers they will kick eachother =/.... theres always something to complain abt on tv so i wish u good luck hehe....
