Hey, I was just wondering what everyone's opinion was on 3D in general. I thought that avatar was a good film in 3d but it didn't blow me away in terms of being that different and I still think I prefer 2d overall as it is more comfortable for my eyes and I don't like the idea of glasses.

I also played on the nintendo 3ds the other day for the first time. Personally I feel that it's not that impressive. It looks rather holographic as expected because it is 3d but I don't actually think it's that natural and if anything looks less natural than playing on 2d.

What do you guys think of 3D and possibly 3D games in the future?

It looks 3D in some ways, but I wouldn't want to play it for a long period of time, let say around 10 minute max of 3D gaming for me. I feel dizzy after looking at the 3D screen, but might just be me.

No, I feel dizzy as well and I feel a little uncomfortable when looking at 3D things after a while. I decided to edit the thread bcos I figured I wanted to know people's views more on 3D in general.

3D is overrated for some.. I personally don't like 3D at all for anything.. as of now still.. Unless it is proven to be better later on.. But for now, I think I'll stay away from 3D.

Overrated. I've never watched a film in 3d (let alone a film in theatres in about 2 years).. but if i had a choice.. i'll go for 2D. You go to the movies to enjoy yourself.. so i dont like to wear glasses while watching a movie

Overrated or not, it's the future. So as they say, suck it up :) Personally I love it and I've been enjoying every moment I can since I bought the LG TV with passive glasses (cinema glasses). The movie kinda comes alive.

And you are right regarding Avatar, it was a good film, but I have seen better 3D. As for the glasses ... I have been wearing them since my early ages, so double glasses is not an issue with me :) , but I can see your point if you are not used to wearing glasses. And as for 3D gaming ... never tried it yet, only saw a 3DS demo ... if the game is too fast-paced I think it will not be very comfortable for your eyes.

ermmm....im one of those that sorta ducks and moves when watching 3d flicks..hahahaa...
guess its sorta like natural reaction..?..-lol...but i think its okies la....i think its soooo
funnny when ya spin round and see everyone with the glasses on in the cinemas...-lol

  9. 3D in the cinema is just annoying... it's stupid that they make some movies just for 3d nowadays like Transformers... i personally don't have anything against it but let me goddamn choose if i can watch it in 3D or 2D! For some movies it just doesn't work or worth it. It's just a way to squeesh out the money of the consumers
