If you may not know, I'm into Jpop.. especially a group called KAT-TUN. A former member of that group Jin Akanishi participated in this movie so I've been following news of 47 Ronin for a long long time.

I remember it was suppose to show in late 2012. Postponed to February 2013, then now December 2013. Been a long wait, but glad other people are waiting for the movie to come out just like me. -lol Been a very long wait for me.

As Jin described this movie, it's kinda like Harry Potter with swords (magic-elements).

Usually I'm not a fan of these movies made by Hollywood cause they always seem to mess it up doing asian type theme movies.

But the trailer looks pretty good.

47 Ronin is a very famous Japanese story and I wanted this movie to be a serious epic drama about the way of the Samurai.
I don't really like that they turned it into a fantasy movie.

LOL... Agreed. Just look at what they did to poor Abe Lincoln, with him hunting vampires and all? Where's the dignity in that? But, I certainly understand the sentiment. For those that don't realize it, the true story of the 47 Ronin is near religious in Japan, as it is a tale of honor that embodies the ethics underlying the samurai code. The story had been told and retold a multitude of times; so much, in fact, that the act itself, of retelling the 47 Ronin story, even has it's own name. It is called Chushingura. At any rate, it looks to be a very entertaining event, even as it makes a mockery of history.
