An 8.8 is up there, the 2004 Tsunami was caused by a 9.1 and 9.3 earthquake. There has been a tsunami alert for this earthquake as well - 9ft tsunamis have been recorded so far ________ Yamaha Tzr250
Meh natural stuff... Since the plates that hits Japan and Chile goes opposite directions so I'm not to surprised that one hit after another... (directions of where the plates are going...) If you want to say it's an early sign of 2012... wait for the news where earthquakes shouldn't happen but has happened..

we had a tsunami warning of 15 feet that we all had to practically evacuate towards the mountainside. but when the tsunami came, it was barely 3 feet.
Humans have taken advantage of the earth and abused it, i don't know if you guys see it that way, but for sure i believe it is mother nature and earth trying to saying something
Well according to the Mayan Calendar .. it stopped at 12/21/2012. Thus far, it has been extremely accurate so I think that's where people assumed that the end of the world is near .. in 2012. I don't know what to believe .. it's hard to dismiss it since we do have a lot natural disasters in recent years. I also just read on Yahoo that the quake in Chile shortened our day because it knocked the planet a little off its axis. There were reports that California will be hit by a 10.0 earthquake in July, 2010 so yeah .. it's crazy and panicky for ppl.
