Hi guys, i was looking at phones specs just before and i was reading aGPS. what is aGPS ? is it a GPS on the phone? was comparing the C905i and X1.

ok thanks for the information. but im still a little confused. so if a mobile has aGPS can or cant it be use like GPS device?
I believe the aGPS is not quite a GPS yet.. aGPS still requires internet/phone connection to use it as a GPS or whatever.. thats what i heard.

my n95 uses agps and it doesnt need the internet package for it to work.. gps uses the same satellite that is above the sky. as long as you have garmin or tomboy in your phone, you can use gps for free.
well like iphone 3g, from what i heard, it is require to have internet service to let you use the AGPS built in the iphone.. if you don't have internet then the AGPS is useless to you.
