Lynn Hung (熊黛林)’s father, Hung Ren Quan (熊仁權) passed away on January 7 after his liver cancer recurred. Aaron Kwok (郭富城) was constantly by Lynn’s side throughout the funeral held yesterday morning to lend his support. After the funeral service, Aaron accompanied Lynn in the family van to the crematorium. Dressed plainly, Aaron also donned a pair of sunglasses and a mask. Aware of the presence of reporters, Aaron was reverent and did not draw attention to himself. Once inside the crematorium hall, Aaron respectfully removed his sunglasses and mask. As with the rest of the deceased’s close family, Aaron stood in the first row. Although Aaron and Lynn left the crematorium separately, they met for a meal again afterward. When Xiong Ren Quan was diagnosed with liver cancer last year, Lynn promptly arranged for her father to fly to Hong Kong to recuperate at the Hong Kong Sanatorium and Hospital. It was alleged that Aaron helped to lighten Lynn’s financial burden by forking more than $1 million HKD for her father’s medical bills. Engagement Postponed With Aaron’s presence as part of the family at the funeral, his actions inadvertently acknowledged his relationship with Lynn although he had never openly admitted to their romance in the past. Earlier last year, Lynn and Aaron split temporarily due to Lynn reportedly pressuring Aaron to get married. Later in October, on Lynn’s birthday, Aaron surprised her with a pre-honeymoon trip to the Maldives and an expensive car as an engagement gift, thus confirming his plan to marry her. However, because of her father’s illness, their engagement was postponed indefinitely. Creds: Apple Daily
