well, i moved to california now so i am voting for their state propositions in november. one that sorta stands out to me was the need to notify teens' parents if they are seeking an abortion. no would mean kids kind just do whatever they want without parents ever knowing it. parents are looking out for their kids' best interest so they should have a right to know not to mention about emergency. proponent keeps argued that notifying parents would push kid to take desperate measure to abortion which may end up hurting them even more. what do ya'll think on this issue? i am leaning toward yes. i feel parents have the right to know. i don't want my kids undergoing some sort of medical procedure without my full knowledge. kids are too young to understand everything and sometimes can't even think straight when they're under stress for being pregnant and more. after all, if something goes wrong, who will be accountable? also, what about the "father" in this case? even though women have the right to do whatever they want to their bodies, i believe it's important for the gal to inform the guy that she's seeking abortion. it takes two to make a baby but one to gets rid of the baby .. no .. should confer with one another ... teens and adults for God sake.
i strongly agree with the point that kids' parents should be informed.... i wouldnt ever want my kid to do such thing behind my back....imagine the trauma n any complications that can follow... i cant imagine going abortion at my age now so imagine if ur a teenager...!!! If i were a mum id def wanna know n yea i sorta agree with telling the "father" too...depends on the situation tho... if two people are in a stable relationship id def say YES! but what if two teenagers just had casual sex....? some teenage guys can be quite jerks n dont talk to the girl after having sex to them etc... so if the girl would be having abortion should the girl still tell the guy in that case? so on that part...depends on situation la
