Does sports generate revenue for Investors? Many have bleeded (eg. Charles Wang's Islanders ice hockey team) but the story remain the same. :rl:

Abu Dhabi Group is taking over Manchester City club intending to run it into the biggest club in the premier league.

    ^apparently £125million LOL

But this kind of stuff ruins football, not fair on the game and makes it too superficial

Shouldn't this thread be on the sports section?

Well a lot of clubs have interest in this player, but it will all be unlikely as man utd dont want to sell him.

Isn't it £135 million? source Times online

they can't hold the player against their will forever... under fifa rules... at some point in a players contract, i think the 3rd year, the player can buy out the rest of his contract...

besides... what good is it to pay a player £100k a week if they're not willing to play for u?

not only mancity are willing to spash out 135mil pounds on C.Ronaldo, but their shopping list looks like this for january's transfer market. (all in pounds, i dont have a pounds symbol on my keyboard so bare with me)

    80mil on Kaka (AC Milan)
    80mil on Lionel Messi (Barcalona)
    80mil on Fernando Torres (Liverpool)
    80mil on Fabregas (Arsenal)
60mil on Berbatov (Manchester United) although berbatv is thier last priority

so yeah, the new Real Madrid? i think so.

and before someone comes in and starts flaming me, remember this guy is 50x richer then the chelsea owner.

none of those listed will go...

Kaka IS the world's best player atm... forget Ronaldo... Milan won't sell if they want to win...
Barca would never let Messi go, Eto'o and Henry would leave Camp Nou b4 Messi...
Liverpool has 3 untouchables, Torres, Gerrard and Carragher...
Fabregas all ready said his bit...
Fergie would bite ur head off if u tried to throw money in his face...
