Ada Choi (蔡少芬) and her two friends, Bonny Wong and Johnny Tseng, recently invested in a seven-figure sum to open up a new designer clothing and accessories brand for children – Motion Picture Kidswear (童夢工場). The store, which is located inside the SOGO Mall in Causeway Bay, held its grand opening ceremony on September 26, 2013. Donning coral pink attire, Ada and her family, including husband Max Zhang (張晉) and their two daughters, opened the ceremony together. Close celebrity friends, including Lawrence Ng (吳啟華), Flora Chan (陳慧珊), Eileen Yeow (姚瑩瑩), Teresa Mo (毛舜筠), Jessica Hsuan (宣萱), Mary Hon (韓馬利), Catherine Hung (洪欣) and her husband Zhang Danfeng (張丹峰), also attended the event to support Ada. Ada is currently looking at other spaces in the city and hopes to open up a second Motion Picture Kidswear retail shop by the next season. “It would be great if it becomes a listed company. That’s my dream.” The girls’ collection of Motion Picture Kidswear contains many fanciful designs, and has been picked up by Harvey Nichols in Pacific Place, Hong Kong. In regards to the incident in which Ada was coerced to make a promotional appearance outside of her contract agreements by a mainland Chinese company, Ada expressed that she does not wish to comment too much on the matter as her lawyers are currently handling the case. Jessica Hsuan (宣萱), who is also working on the mainland, revealed that she was also cheated by a mainland company, but the incident did not hinder her career in the region. She assured that her management team is now taking extra care when dealing with contracts. Accompanied by her husband Zhang Danfeng (張丹峰) at the event, Catherine Hung (洪欣) also revealed that she is currently five months pregnant. Creds: ihktv
