Ada Choi takes in "7 crimes" from <Fly With Me>, welcomes all the Noise from Netizen

TVB new series <Fly With Me> although only broadcast 5 episodes, the story is already been actively discussed online. It was said that many of the scenes and the costumes is a combination of elements in Hong Kong, Japanese, Korean and American series and movies.

In the series <Fly With Me>, Ada's role changes into a Superwoman. Her costume and her ability to fly is an evident copy of both Hong Kong and Western films. Netizens say that <Fly> is suspected to have committed "7 crimes". The first case is that Ada's role as Superwoman Janet Bin's genetic variations is similar to <Spider Man>. The second case is that the way she obtained her super powers is just a copy off of Catwoman from <Batman 2>, its the same because Catwoman was also pushed off the building and suddenly got super powers. The third case is a copy off of <My Super Ex-Girlfriend>, where she's a regular Office Lady (OL) and when she changes into superwoman, her hairstyle and breast size changes. The fourth case is that Janet's special powers is a copy off of <Superman> and <Hancock> because she has super strength, hearing, vision and other similar Superman powers.

The fifth case is that in the series Ada and Moses Chan costumes are similar to costumes from other series. Moses costume is similar to Japanese anime <Black Jack>, while Ada's costume is similar to Maggie Cheung's character in <The Heroic Trio>. The sixth case is Janet's slow motion action scenes are similar to <The Matrix>. The seventh and last case involves the chatting in the hospital restaurant scene, which was similar to <Days of Being Wild>.

Kenny Wong: A Tribute to Classics

Towards Netizens finding so many cases of similarities, Ada responded: "Many superhero series/movies are like that, but this series added the HK girl element and that is something different. Since there is so many Netizens giving feedback online, it shows that the series is getting attention." Moses said that his character is only similar to the professor in <Black Jack> is that both have white hair, however the idea was not deliberately copied. Kenny said: "I personally feel that many of those scenes are a tribute to classics. The most important thing is that everyone enjoys watching it."
