Forty-four-year-old Adia Chan (陈松伶) left TVB to develop a career in Mainland China in 2006, after completing her last TVB production, Trimming Success <飞短留长父子兵>. After her marriage to Zhang Duo (张铎) in 2011, Adia began to gradually fade out of the spotlight and shifted her focus to business ventures instead. About three months ago, Adia jointly invested in a six-figure sum in a lingerie business with cosmetics guru Cheng Ming Ming (郑明明). The investment has recently begun to see returns, and Adia finally feels ready to make a comeback in the entertainment industry. Aware of Adia’s intentions to return to the television screen, TVB executive Virginia Lok (乐易玲) reached out to Adia to ask her to film one drama per year. TVB is also willing to be flexible with scheduling demands. Once Adia signs the contract, she will like start filming in April. Adia confirmed that she has been in negotiations with TVB, as her heart remains in Hong Kong, and she is still in touch with many of her old friends at the station. Adia would however only make a comeback after losing 10 pounds, so that she would not frighten the audience. Virginia Lok added that Adia is in good shape and is keen to return to TVB. TVB would select a role and co-stars that are suitable for Adia, and accommodate her schedule. Virginia emphasized that the details of the arrangements are yet to be finalized. Creds: ihktv
absolutely loved her in the 90s and early 2000s. She was one of my favorite actresses then. This is a good signing in my honest opinion. And I always thought her name was Nadia
so in a way, as she's getting older, she loses a letter in her name? so I guess by 50, I'll be known as mond! lose a letter every decade lol
"The added "n" was a self reminder to "never give up." It also symbolized "new"." Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adia_Chan She's probably missing some pieces in her brain to change her name so much. I think the double "N" is for double the NUT
Yup, she was one of my favorite as well. She was in so many good series. I just hope she's going to be in a role with well written scripts.
She was my dream girl back in the 90s. Loved her stage plays and her singing. She look like mandy wong in this pic.. lol
