Liking someone older than you; perhaps a few years doesn't seem like a big deal, or even more, but to others, age really matters. My niece is currently 14 years old, and she's 'in love' with a 19, almost 20 year-old. I don't exactly approve of it, but what can you do. What do you all think? Does age matter? And does it only matter when you're young, but not as much as you hit the adult stage?

hum...s`ok even tho it sounds wierd and shit for a 14 yr old to be in love wid a 19 yr old its not that bad. ur prolly thinking ohh out of all the girls y her? u no y coz he finds sumthing interesting in her not all guys are players and shes 14 its not that bad i dont think its her 1st relatinship i had a 17 yr old bf wen i ws 13 i dont see anything wrong wid it.
I don't think age matters, My gf is 14months older than me. my question is why would age matter if you're in love?... love is about feelings... its not about numbers. my girlfriend and i get along great. i mean of cause there would be fights and arugments, but isn't that normal in all relationships... if a huge difference like plus 10 years then yeh it would matter because of social status and common topics to chat and talk about.. other than that... its the heart that matters.. in a relationship .. the most important thing is the couple... not the people around them
it depends on wot age they r... 14 and 20 sound a little uncomfortable to me... coz 14 is still like a kid... however 25 and 35 sound perfectly fine... if ur worried abt ur niece just keep an eye with her... b her friend... build up a trust so she would share her thoughts with her... n share ur opion without sounding forceful... most teenagers r pretty hard to deal with... they think they know everything... i know i was once like that good luck!
...its illegal for the 19 year old to date the 14 year old with out parent or legal guardian of the 14 year olds consent.
uhm, when i was 18, i had a 14 yr old all over me... -.- she just wouldn't get it that i wasn't interested... i think anyone under 16 shouldn't be dating at all =P then after that, age doesnt matter much...
