As one of the hosts for the "Miss Macau Pageant", Alex Fong made a fool of himself in the swimwear Q&A session. Initially wanted to make fun of Amigo Chui, saying he is a "salty worm" (咸蟲). Unfortunately, the pronunciation is inaccurate, "worm" was pronounced as "warm", no wonder he had to repeat five times. Second runner-up Sarah Leyshan and the other two hosts, Skye Chan and Amigo Tsui were all loss, only giggled on the stage. Many netizens yesterday questioned since Alex Fong is a graduate from the University of Hong Kong, how can his English be bad. [on.cc/translated by K@PA]
same here...lol It was interesting that they had a white contestant on Miss. Macau, she was pretty cute.
Lol... u guys never saw stephy speaking english? i was like...damn woman... learn some english n stop making a fool outta urself! so...yea... great match i guess Justin wasnt that bad tho lol...
^he cant be that bad, stayed at the states for while, tho still have a lil accent. Stephy....lolzzzzzz hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah
perhaps justin was just sounding fobby in the video on purpose to make Stephy feel better. i don't think his english could go that bad so fast.
come on ya'll .. give them a break .. celebs are known to be intellectually lightweight. also, ppl usually catch on the local accent when they live there long enough .. that's very normal. if you live in the states or in any english speaking countries for sometimes, your english is bound to be a lot better since you obviously use it a lot more often.
what i am surprised about is that justin didn't step in to help her .. he was just looking around .. and for justin who supposedly from America .. he has caught on the chin accent quite fast or is he pretending to speak w/ the accent .. lol
actually justin was only in the states for several yrs for U, grew up in HK so its ok to have the accent. why would he help stephy? supposed to let her talk cant just fix this, "no stephy, it should be they made this dress in England for me, not *************" (dont rmb exactly what she was saying) must say its hard to get rid of the accent when ure speaking chinese/canton for more than like 8 yrs or so, 10-ish, still gonna have a lil bit
In Hong Kong bad English is nothing I still remember that during Beijing Olympic one of the singer sang the part "one world one dream" as "one war one damn" and that was being play on tv more than 5 time a say that month.
HAAAAAHHHHHAAAAAA i cant lol enough .... and i thought stephy's english was good hahahah .... that was really chinese ... hahaha * err i vewy happy , from england err sooo i really thanks them *
"Many netizens yesterday questioned since Alex Fong is a graduate from the University of Hong Kong, how can his English be bad." Burn!!!
