Alex To and Ice Lee are Married!

Fifty-year-old pop singer, Alex To (杜德偉), married his 26-year-old photographer girlfriend, Ice Lee (李曉冰), on November 11. At the evening banquet, alcohol flowed abundantly and the guests celebrated the couple’s union by getting happily drunk. Although he was not too drunk at the end of the evening, Alex was too tired and did not have intimacy with his bride on his wedding night.

With many good friends in the industry, Alex’s groomsmen included Tony Leung Chiu Wai (梁朝偉), Kenny Chung (鐘鎮濤), Paco Wong (黃柏高) and Lui Fong (呂方). The bridal games were conducted civilly, without anyone daring to play tricks on Tony Leung. “Everyone said that the groomsmen were too old! Tony Leung especially took one day off from filming to be my groomsman,” Alex said gratefully.

At the Lee household in the morning, Alex presented tea to Ice’s father, who happened to be the same age as himself. After receiving the bride, the couple exchanged vows in a wedding ceremony at a yacht club.

The couple held a 22-table wedding banquet in the evening, which had a 1950s wedding theme. The venue was decorated with red flowers and red balloons. The wedding cake was red, black and white, with a cake topper featuring a caricature of the couple in a red convertible.

Alex’s hair was swept into an Elvis do, while Ice appeared glamorous with pin curls and a long-sleeve lace wedding dress in a retro style. Alex and Ice later ignited the dance floor with their guests, who partied away in the lively celebration.

The most moving moment came when Alex and Ice gave speeches regarding their union. They had prepared their speeches separately and did not know what each will say prior to the wedding night. Alex cried while expressing his love for his wife.

Guests Drank Happily

The guests managed to get more drunk than the groom. Arriving at 12 midnight at Alex and Ice’s banquet due to his earlier attendance at Guo Jingjing (郭晶晶) and Kenneth Fok’s (霍啟剛) wedding banquet last night, Eric Tsang (曾志偉) was already drunk. Eric hugged Alex and Ice, while grabbing the bride’s hands and repeatedly kissed them. Eric said, “Alex is my good brother; I wish them happiness forever!”

Tony Leung Ka Fai (梁家輝) and Cecilia Yip (葉童) were drunk by the time they left. Tony winked at reporters on site and held up a victory sign, exclaiming, “I’m very happy!” Cecilia stumbled on the stairs when departing with her husband.

Elvina Kong was heavily drunk when she left with her husband, Jackson Ng (吳積遜). Supported by Jackson and two other men, Elvina still stumbled on the street and yelled out, “Can’t even see the way, [expletive] your mother!” Noticing that reporters were taking photos, Elvina shouted, “Don’t take any photos! [Expletive] you!” Her husband smiled at the press and said, “Excuse me, goodbye!”

Other guests at the wedding included Jackie Chan (成龍), Carina Lau (劉嘉玲), Grasshoppers, Jacky Cheung (張學友), Stefan Wong (黃長興) and his wife, Peggy,

No Time for Intimacy on Wedding Night

Alex did not mind the drunk behavior of his guests at the wedding. Regarding Elvina’s foul language after getting drunk, Alex said, “She was just happy!”

Although Alex was not too drunk last night, he was unable to be intimate with his wife. “Earlier, Kenny Chung said that many of his friends were unable to perform on the wedding night. I hoped to escape this fate myself, but my wife and I were too tired, so we were unable to do it,” Alex revealed.

The newlyweds will be taking their honeymoon in Europe later. Alex and Ice plan to enjoy their marriage for another two years before having children.
