I used to be a very social person but for the pass half a year... i've been pretty anti-social. I hardly had any contacts with my friends; i've been too absorb into an online video game i've been playing and hopefully go pro on it ( get payed to play games ). AND I KNOW IT SOUNDS LIKE IM A NO-LIFE and you're right...i need to disattatch myself from my online life and go on with my life. Any tips on how to get myself back to my old life? or should i jsut try to meet some new friends.
for one thing, uninstall that game from your computer. and another, think how your friends feel. i have a friend like you, and i don't know why the fuck you people think you can make money out of gaming. i'm being perfectly blunt with you, because this is what all you people need, a slap in the face. no seriously, what makes you think you can be pro at it? i tried forcing my friend off the game, it doesnt work. i spoke like a dick, just like i did you to him, and it doesnt work. i realized it's futile. it all comes down to you. do you want to disattach yourself? then do so yourself. noone is going to make you turn around. man, the thing that pisses me off is, my friend is 20, AND HE STILL WANTS TO PLAY GAMES. go back to primary school if you want to play games. i'll bet he'll fail in life, have no job and beg for money. imo, anyone who has reached the age of adulthood, and expects to make money out of gaming is a retard, a no-life, and deserves to fail, for not realizing the reality of life, that gaming will only work for >0.0000001% of the world population, and childhood dreams does not work in a world of the survival of the fittest.
ummmm.....whut game is it...???....but yeshhh like dannn says get rid of the game and slowly find other things to do....and to meet new friends mebe pick up another hobby coz that way ya can meet more people and make friends.... good lucky with coming back to the real world...!!...:kekekegay:
yes .. first thing you have to do is uninstall the game, and don't install any other games, ever. and find friends who aren't obsessed with gaming seems kinda awkward if you contact your old friends again, but give it a try. at least they aren't going to get you into the gaming again
i wonder what game it is?? is it world of warcraft?? to be honest uninstalling the game wont help coz he will end up installing it again.. it needs to find a better hobby anything you enjoy (like sports? or shopping? lol) or just ring up your friends and have a catch up... or even better... get a job? that will soooooooo take ur mind off gaming
lol no, because i used to be addicted to starcraft, and after i got a new laptop, i never installed it, so now, i HATE starcraft. we can give the dude ideas, but if the person is not dedicated, he will go back, just like a smoker, a drug addict, etc. trust me, i've gone through this with myself, and a friend of mine. i honestly can't wait until i start working, for a year, and not see shit like this anymore
Unplug your computer. And NO, I'm not joking. Do it for a month and you'll realize how much of a world there is out there without computing or having to be on line. However, be prepared to undergo severe symptoms of withdrawal. Your only saving grace is that you've started to realize that you DO have a problem; you've become addicted to a world that does not exist, with the nominal justification that you can one day make money at it. What a joke. People like you are what I call waiters. You may consider yourself to be an actor or a musician (or professional game player), but for every actor or musician that actually makes it, there's ten thousand waiters and busboys. Wake up and get yourself a real job. :tear:
rofl, wouldn't this situation be very very very similiar to warcraft dota XD i remember that i used to be glue to that game a very long time ago. here's what you do, just think about other opportunities you are giving up. e.g you could be making money, going out with friends, getting laid =D or doing some thing that will benifit you. At the end, it is up to you. No one is forcing you. be a winner haha.
i been through uninstalling Wow. i been through uninstalling EVE, i been through uninstalling TF2.. just do it, dont go back, first few days are tough, after that it will go away. Turning of the computer cant happen cus i do my work on it, i watch my programs on, i pretty much need my pc
what pisses me off is the fact that my prof wants the class to play wow, and compare elements of wow to reality. i swear, if i get hooked to wow, and do shit in school, the dude is going to get his ass sued
How old are you? I actually know a few ppl in a similar situation as you. The reason why I ask how old you are is because the ppl I know are currently going thru puberty ... those hormones does weird things to you.
playing WoW for marks??? This I have not heard of. ahh I remember the days of gaming... Homework sure helped when it came down to getting serious. Although that doesn't work for everyone. It takes self control. I quit by luck... My game is actually installed on the external hardrive... And on top of that my old anti-virus thought the game files were some sort of werid spyware and quaranteed it and messed them up. I got lazy and didn't bother to fix it lol.
WoW is like one game i play but not all the time so i dont need to uninstall it... But i do recall one of my law lecturers keeps refering to WoW lol but then to quit online games is easy...THROW THE COMPUTER AWAY HAHAA
naw, he's not even a wow player himself he wants to compare the elements of a virtual environment to a real environment
Good ideas,i'm gonna do the same...for my bro. he's a little like your friend but he do socialize a bit...
i'm 18 and yes this game im talking about is dota.... i consider myself pretty damn well in it. And i got a team where we join tournys and all, but that isn't the point. This point is that i really need to get myself up and going with my life, but every night i end up sitting on my comp playing dota for hours. I should probably get myself a job that occupies alot of my time so when i get home i only have the energy to fucking shower and sleep. Thank guys!
