Hi, Just wondering if any1 here knows how to play the alto saxophone..cuz i just rented 1...lol...i have no idea how to play it so wonderin if any1 could gimme some tips or videos or anythin that would help meXD... Thanks in advance!
Music class? or I guess you could get a book which shows you how to do all the notes and just keep practicing with the songs in the book.
^ lol actually i joined band for school...so yeah...but its not starting yet..so i just wanna get a little ahead i guess...
Music class would definitely be best. Usually some high school music teacher (providing they know how to play) would teach lessons after class, maybe you can sign up?
rented....? dont ppl put their mouth on that thing >.< haha...so ur a bandgeek just kidding....i always see that kinda stuff on tv...
um...everytime another person gives it back after rent...then send it somewhere to get washed...like really clean wash...then they send it to some ppl who play the instrument t test it out before letting ppl rent again....so yea...im sure its pretty safe
Hahaha...ok i hope so... but anyway cool...i wish i could play an instrument..piano or guitar would be pretty awesome good luck with learning how to play it =)
It should be nice and easy, I've played for 6 years, after you get the sounds out its smooth sailing. Then you can move on to play the other saxophones like the tenor or baritone. Remember to not puff your cheeks when your playing and use the sides of your lips to hold on to the mouthpiece and blow. You can master it in on time and amaze people with great solos .
whao...6yrs...i cant even play a note...well..actually i can...but not sure what note it is...lol>.< some random sound...i think its cuz my reed kinda cracked...so i hafta get a new one...sad....so expensive..i think its like $2 for one.
Ask your teacher for some after school lessons, or ask around, there are bound to be music tutors in your area.
when i played the tenor sax back in the hs jazz band...a tip that one of the teachers told me when blowing into the saxophone is to mentally say "tu"...that way you're not puffing up your cheeks. :]
